Staff question Ros Luther's promotion

Staff at Carenne Special School have once again called staffing practices at the school into question with the promotion of Ros Luther to Assistant Principal last year. Staff claim that Neil Moon was nepotistic with the promotion and that Ros Luther should never have been promoted.

A series of Carenne whistleblowers have complained that Ros Luther is not properly qualified, not having special education qualifications. Nedkelly told Carenne Gate "Michael Auld is an incompetent fool but at least he has special ed qualifications, this bitch has nothing."

Other staff claimed that there were far better suited people in the school than Luther to take the position. Sunbeam said -

"Kylie McDonald, Janelle Kemp and Anne Baskerville all would of made better Assistant Principals than Ros Luther, she is a liar who can only control kids by locking them away."

Former Carenne Assistant Principal carennetruth told Carenne Gate that she was disappointed to hear that Luther had received a promotion - "This is a woman who has caused nothing but trouble, that locked students in the pig pen, had big Di sit on them and who implemented the program that led to Brian Carter's sacking,"

"Ros should have been reprimanded along with Terry Mahony about the travel of Jamie Hussey to Lithgow one day per week, she was the one who implemented it but instead they scapegoated Brian Carter," said carennetruth.

Given the serious allegations made against Ros Luther, staff at the Bathurst Schools Office were amazed that the MERIT Selection Panel chose Ros Luther. It was only in 2010 that she was under investigation by the Employee Performance and Conduct Directorate for using straps to hit children and lock them in the pig pen. It had also been reported to EPAC about her having students sat on by staff and the implementation of the "tranquility room", better used as a torture room.

Ros Luther has no place in the NSW education system and with her appalling record of service should face dismissal.

Neil Moon told staff about investigation: nedkelly

Turncoat Carenne whistleblower, nedkelly has once again exposed the KLAN mentality existing among staff at Carenne Special School by revealing to Carenne Gate that she was told by Neil Moon this afternoon of an investigation into a bus driver.

Nedkelly alleges that Neil Moon told her that an investigation was being carried out by EPAC to determine if fraud had been committed by the driver. Nedkelly says that Neil Moon told staff that it was because of the 'vigilance' of the school's office staff that the fraud had been detected as they noticed that she had declared that she worked on days that she had other people who were unauthorised work for her.

Moon then told staff that if they could remember any issues with the driver to let him know as he was putting together a file on her for EPAC.

Nedkelly said:

"I couldn't believe the c---, standing there telling us all that she was under investigation and what for. He had a smug fucking look on his face like he was happy about it. He laughed when he said that she was being investigated by EPAC."

The incident shows that Neil Moon does not have the integrity to be principal and that he will happily give out information to his staff when it suits him that he should keep confidential.

LSLD more like LSD to Carenne

Barry O'Farrell's highly supported Local Schools Local Decisions (LSLD) program, which aims to give principals more control over staffing and school finance will be result in further issues at the maligned Carenne Special School in Bathurst according to staff.

Carenne Gate has been supplied with meeting minutes discussing what to do when the program begins to be implemented on Day 1 of Term 2. Under the program, Neil Moon will be able to make purchases under $5,000 from his choice of supplier. According to the meeting minutes, a number of people associated with Carenne staff will be rewarded:

• Stephen Smith will be given building work despite being a director of Carenne Support,
• Avairs Klavins will be given electrician work as his wife is an employee at the school,
• Christine Porter will be paid for upto 25% of speech therapy services at the school, with the remainder to be paid by Carenne Support,
• Joe Mancia will become the school's supplier of computers and maintain the school's computer system, Mancia is a close friend of Michael Auld and Lee Churches,
• RDA will receive payment directly from the school for the therapy farm and horse riding programs.
  

Moon has also discussed a plan to pay hire fees for buses used by the school belonging to Carenne Support with the school executive .

Nedkelly told Carenne Gate that staff were already discussing how to get their friends into jobs and how to make sure friends and family benefited from the new supply arrangements. She said the arrangements were a return to the "early days of Terry Mahony's principalship."

"As usual that fuckwit Michael Auld is involved in deciding who should get the task of supplying things to the school. He is a corrupt bastard and leads Neil Moon around by the nose,"

"I don't care, if this fucking shit goes on, I will be making a complaint to ICAC. I'm over these cunts dragging the school's name through the mud," said Ned Kelly.

It shows that Neil Moon is an ineffective leader who can be easily corrupted by staff at the school.

Neil Moon's latest Carenne Support spin

Neil Moon has once again talked Carenne Support up to parents, sending parents an update about the organisation. In the newsletter, Neil Moon mentions how Carenne Support provides the school with therapy assistance and resources and how these services could not be provided if it wasn't for the valuable support the school receives from Carenne Support.

In the mini-newsletter, Moon also expresses thanks to Christine Porter, who co-ordinates services at the school.

One parent contacted Carenne Gate to report that they were told last year that Christine Porter had stepped down as therapy co-ordinator. "It sounds like that was a blatant lie by Neil Moon," said the parent.

Porter was heavily involved in students not getting therapy and it being covered up and the defrauding of the state Department of Disabilities. nedkelly told Carenne Gate that Porter had been implicated in an investigation into services funded by ADHC. She said -

"It was found that Christine Porter herself was responsible for lying to ADHC and receiving money for therapy wasn't being done. She blamed Coleen Leis, Peter Richards, Barbara Woolfe and Angie Cranston for it but the truth is that Carenne Support was being paid to use therapists to do the therapy not the school for staff to do it,"

"Porter nearly ruined Marion Baker when she exposed the fraud going on with Carenne Support,"

"Even after Carenne Support lost ADHC funding, Christine still co-ordinated therapy involving other organisations such as GWAHS and ADHC. She interfered in their work so much that numerous complaints were made about her to the department."

Neil Moon had the opportunity as a principal from another school to come into Carenne and fix the problems, but he has instead shown that he is as corrupt as the rest of them.

Student threatens to commit suicide over cigarettes

It was panic stations at Carenne Special School today when a student threatened to commit suicide after being refused cigarettes by staff.

The student, who the school has been supplying cigarettes to since he was the age of eight threatened to kill himself shortly after 2:00PM today when Police and Ambulance officers were called according to Carenne Klansman turned whistleblower nedkelly. The student was taken to the local hospital for assessment.

"This student has a history of this when he is stressed, Carenne is a pressure cooker at the moment, everyone is stressed from the hackers and the blog. People are being held to account," said nedkelly.

Only last month another student was taken to hospital after being neglected by Carenne Special School staff.

Richard Webster suspended by Carenne Support

Nedkelly has contacted Carenne Gate concerned about the treatment of Carenne Support buds driver Richard Webster. Nedkelly claims that Mr Webster was advised by Dave Graham that he was suspended from duty pending investigation.

Nedkelly claims that Mr Webster is under investigation for being seen with Carenne Support competitor Cheryl Chaplin and his negligent driving charge. She also claims that an unapproved driver was used on the run with no escort even though one is required.

Helen Windsor, who has to approve payments to escorts was told of the arrangement and said she would sign Mark Sealey's form as the department couldn't know there was no escort.

Carenne Support has a history of shady employment practices with Brian Carter and Jenny O'Neill both suing them.

Cop with nine lives to return to Bathurst area

Scott Russell, the corrupt police officer who keeps getting away with unprofessional behaviour is returning to the Bathurst area according to nedkelly.

nedkelly told Carenne Gate that she was told by Simone Russell yesterday that it was safe for her to return to work because Scott was coming back from Colleanabri and would protect her and "take care of all the bastards causing trouble for their family."

In the past, Scott Russell has been implicated in leaks of police information, harassing staff at McDonalds in Bathurst, harassing and threatening Lyn Duncan, being involved in the cover up of his pedophile son Jeremy and threatening people making complaints about his family.

It is frightening that someone as corrupt as Scott Russell with a chip on his shoulder is returning to the area in a position of responsibility where people he has threatened are.

Corrupt and incompetent driver becomes Carenne's music teacher

Steve Minshull, the corrupt and incompetent bus driver for the Blayney run has become Carenne's new music teacher. Mr Minshull has a long association with the Carenne KLAN, with Simone Russell conspiring with him to defraud the Special Needs Transport Service and a personal friendship with Ros Luther.

Carenne klansmen turned whistleblower nedkelly told Carenne Gate that she was very worried about Mr Minshull being the school's new music teacher. "This is a f---whit who had a kid taken off his bus because he assaulted him in the corridor of the school. Neil Moon is a f---whit for making him the music teacher," said nedkelly.

A parent with a student on his bus also questioned the move. "I can't understand how someone who drives with a student in the front seat leaning over him can possibly receive a job at the school, Steve is overly familiar with some students its not right. When I raised this with Neil Moon I was told to stop being a drama queen," said the parent.

Carenne Gate has learned that besides working at Carenne on Tuesdays, Steve also offers lessons at Millthorpe Public School. It is disturbing that such a person is even allowed around children given his past history.

Michael Auld's $16,000 mistake

Following the revelation that Carenne Special School has been illegally dumping rubbish at a rural tip, it has been discovered that $16,000 worth of interactive whiteboards claimed to have been damaged by Michael Auld have also been dumped at the site.

Eight smart boards have been found at the Rockley Waste Transfer Station belonging to Carenne. According to "nedkelly" these whiteboards are valued at $2,000 each.

"Michael Auld deliberately f---ed them and said Nathan Carter set them up incorrectly,"

"He's an egomaniac. He can't handle being told that everything is falling apart because of him," said nedkelly.

nedkelly claimed that she knew the boards were still under warranty but because of Michael Auld's mistake the school couldn't claim on them.

A source inside the education department claimed that Michael Auld had tried to update the board's on-board software so that they had the features of the newer boards, when this failed the boards were ruined.

"Michael Auld tried to update the software on the boards to allow the touch recognition feature, it didn't work. Only a complete idiot would do something this stupid. He first put the wrong software on and then updated more than one. The bloke is a tool,"

"It only costs around $150 to fix what he did but instead these idiots throw out $2,000 equipment. The whiteboard has a controller on the back which has been removed by Auld, he wouldn't want anyone knowing that these whiteboards are fine apart from where he stuffed them up," said the departmental source.

Steve Minshull abuses staff

Carenne Special School klansmen turned whistleblower nedkelly has contacted Carenne Gate after being abused by Capebase Blayney bus driver Steve Minshull on Friday afternoon. nedkelly claims this abuse was leveled at staff in front of students by the driver.

nedkelly claims that Mr Minshull said "you c---s are always running late, this is the second day in a row you have been late. Too bad if I have something else to do. You need to get your f---ing act together."

nedkelly claims that Mr Minshull's aggression and language upset nearby students, with a number of them having to be settled by staff. nedkelly said that Mr Minshull had to pick up a number of students from a local Bathurst school before he went to Carenne and he arrived at Carenne at 2:50PM most days, expecting staff to change their routine to suit him.

"This other school would be having to pull students out of class early just to suit this moron's schedule. He needs to be told that he isn't the boss and he has no right telling us what to do," said nedkelly.

According to nedkelly and Horatio, Steve Minshull behaved the same when he drove the Hartley bus.

Neil Moon misleads the Bathurst Community on radio, gaffes

Incompetent principal of the infamous and much maligned Carenne Special School, Neil Moon has once again used his weekly interview on local radio station 2BS to spin and attempt to mislead the Bathurst community.

A very nervous Neil Moon told listeners that the fundraiser on Saturday night was well attended and showed the real support that the school had amongst the community. Mr Moon had difficulty with the word community, saying it had strong "secur-security-community" support.

Mr Moon neglected to tell the community that it had 80 people at the Carenne Support Dinner Dance last year and less than 40 at the charity auction and raffles on Saturday night. This shows that the amount of support Carenne has amongst the community has plummeted.

Mr Moon said that they were still counting the money the school had received from raffles and the charity auction at the Waratah but he knew it was a significant amount. This is despite local media reporting the takings as being $5,000 (on 2BS yesterday) and $4,000 in the Western Advocate.

Carenne whistleblower savecarenne told Carenne Gate that the school has no hope while it is under the leadership of Neil Moon. "He is nothing but a pathological liar, you can't believe a word that comes out of his mouth, worse still you tell him something and he tells the world."

Nedkelly was equally as scathing - "I said that the f---wit would lie on the radio, he can't lie straight in bed, he is a liar, he is incompetent and he is a bully."

Carenne Special School fundraiser to benefit corrupt charity - Carenne Support

The corrupt organisation at the centre of the Carenne Gate saga, Carenne Support Limited will benefit from Saturday night's Carenne Special School fundraiser at the Waratah in Bathurst according to whistleblowers and today's report in the Western Advocate. It is not the first time that Carenne Support has engaged in dishonest fundraising practices, with two Ford Transit minibuses being purchased for it after fundraising in the school's name.

The Western Advocate article claims that the school will be using the funds from the event to purchase much needed therapy equipment and a sensory wall for the junior courtyard. According to Carenne Support after last August's dinner dance where a sex toy made a surprise appearance, Carenne Support had raised enough money to build a sensory wall at the school.

According to Carenne whistleblower Gretel, Carenne Support was the beneficiary from the Waratah fundraiser. She told Carenne Gate - "The fundraiser was to purchase new therapy equipment for some students and for the sensory wall that will all be owned by Carenne Support, it was a Carenne Support fundraiser using the school's name."

Nedkelly told Carenne Gate that it was Neil Moon and Paul Knight's idea to use the school's name to fundraise for the corrupt charity. "Neil and Paul said that the school's name would raise more funds than Carenne Support's, he said that the funds could then be used on therapy programs and products for a few students."

The event demonstrates that the public is still being misled by Carenne Support and Carenne Special School when it comes to fundraising events.

Carenne fundraiser shows community support has dropped: nedkelly

Carenne Special School klansmen turned whistleblower, nedkelly has contacted Carenne Gate with a report on the school fundraiser held at the Waratah last night.

According to nedkelly, the turnout was the lowest she has ever seen at a school fundraiser, claiming there were less people in attendance than were at the Carenne Support fundraiser (where staff took a sex toy) last year.

nedkelly told Carenne Gate-

"You can really see that the support Carenne once had is gone, there were hardly any people there last night, far less than the RSL club, less than the Zoe Gavin benefit and far far less than at the bus dinner dance. Carenne is on the f------ nose."

nedkelly said she believed that corrupt principal, Neil Moon would lie to the community and make it sound as though the target was exceeded and that the venue was full. "That isn't the case, there would have been 30 or 40 people there at the most. That is probably being generous, the whole night was a joke," said nedkelly.

nedkelly said that the night was fairly uneventful, although she is concerned about the excess alcohol consumption of some of her colleagues. nedkelly alleges that two-thirds of the staff that attended were extremely drunk and made allegations that one of them drove home in that state, despite nedkelly trying to convince them otherwise and calling the police on them.

nedkelly was also concerned about most of the items at the fundraiser being alcohol. "You can tell that two-thirds of Carenne staff are alcoholics, most of the auction items or prizes were alcoholic."

"It's time that another review takes place at Carenne, this time looking at the social problems among the staff and the fact that most of them have a f------ alcohol problem."

Officials keen to avoid opening of classroom upgrade

An email supplied to Carenne Gate by nedkelly shows that corrupt principal, Neil Moon is frustrated with the lack of support Carenne Special School has amongst high-level officials.

The email shows that Moon is having trouble in getting a high-profile official to open the classroom upgrade at the school. In the email, Moon claims that the education minister can't perform the official opening of the upgrade because of the forthcoming state election. Local Mayor Paul Toole and current MP Gerard Martin are also unavailable.

According to SEA Snitch, the problem is not the forthcoming election but the school itself. "What politician wants to go to Carenne and open an upgraded classroom and a library? Nobody wants to be associated with a school where a teacher was having sex with a student."

Nedkelly shared a similar view when she spoke to Carenne Gate. "I walk down the street and am attacked because I work at the pedophile school. People call me a c--- saying that I had to know because I work there. Nobody in their right mind is going to show support for the school,"

"The other problem is that you never know who will turn up to these things. It would be embarrassing for more to come out about the school at an event like this. If Moon had any sense he wouldn't have an official opening and just let things be, the staff don't need the stress of it," said nedkelly.

Access arrangements questioned

A number of Carenne Special School staff have contacted this blog and questioned the after hours access arrangements at the school.

Staff claim that corrupt teacher, Michael Auld is allowed access to the school 24 hours a day, virtually unchecked so he can carry out work to the school's computers. They claim this work isn't being done and that the school's computer system is the worst it has ever been.

"Auld is there every weekend and after 7PM most nights to fix the computers yet nothing works, what is he doing?" said Gretel.

Another staff member said that Michael Auld was the person who let contractors in after hours and questioned why. "Michael can do whatever he likes, he lets contractors in because Neil lives in Orange. Nobody checks what he does. You can drive past and see him loading things into his car. It's just a joke," said another Carenne whistleblower.

nedkelly told Carenne Gate that she had been at the school while Auld was rummaging through other people's things. She alleges that he does it all the time and that this is why he is always at the school. She also claims that Michael Auld was used to plant items on people to get them into trouble.

This is yet another example of the pathetic way in which Neil Moon runs a school.

Sex toy features at Dinner Dance, event a disgrace say attendees

Last night's Dinner Dance for Carenne Support Limited, the organisation central to the Carenne Gate affair was a complete disgrace according to a number of attendees. The Dinner Dance was held at the Bathurst RSL Club to raise funding for a sensory wall at the school. Attendee and Carenne Special School whistleblower nedkelly told Carenne Gate that she was shocked at the conduct of some of her colleagues and at Paul Knight's speech where he took aim at whistleblowers.

Paul Knight's speech mentioned that the school had been engulfed by problems for the last two years and that the only way for Carenne Special School and Carenne Support to survive was to "stick together". Attendees said that it was obvious that Mr Knight was having a shot at whistleblowers who are attempting to clean up Carenne Support and Carenne Special School.

According to nedkelly's estimates only around 80 people were in attendance and of those only two were parents not employed by or associated with Carenne Support or the school. "It was pretty bad considering that they told us that there would be at least 150 people there," Ned told Carenne Gate.

"It just shows how much support the school has lost, the school is really unpopular in the Bathurst community now, people are really over it all."

Another attendee told Carenne Gate that he wasn't surprised by the lack of interest and found it comical that after all the promotion of the event that hardly anybody showed up. The attendee said that it was apparent that the school no longer had the support they once had and that the bus debacle had made the public think twice about giving any money to Carenne Special School or Carenne Support.

"How do you know the money is going to Carenne for what they say. The whole community thought the buses were for the school, nobody told them that they weren't to be owned by the school but an organisation attached to the school which uses them to earn a huge profit," said the attendee.

Another attendee said she was surprised by the absence of Carenne fan Gerard Martin. "Gerard continues to support the rorts at Carenne yet didn't even show up for a supposed charity event for the school."

"I wonder if people know that because of Carenne Support using the buses for themselves that students in wheelchairs can't go on overnight excursions" he said.

All of the attendees who sent complaints to Carenne Gate complained about the conduct of staff at the charity event. One attendee said "how we as staff behave in public is how the school is perceived by the public, when you carry on like they did last night it sends a negative message to the public about the school."

Nedkelly told Carenne Gate that Carenne Support employee Mary Housler, known for attacking people on this blog was terribly drunk and had to be told not to stand on tables and "sexually harassing" a number of attendees including Paul Knight and Geoff Salmon. Nedkelly claims that she was "overly friendly" with Geoff Salmon who appeared very uncomfortable with Mrs Housler's advances.

According to one attendee, he was completely shocked when Karina Molenkamp and Angie Cranston showed the secret item they had bought to the event. "I'm not easily shocked but I couldn't believe it when they pulled out a vibrator, it was so inappropriate. How the department can let this happen is just beyond me, it has to be some sort of serious misconduct to take a sex toy to a school event at a place like the RSL" said the male complainant. Another attendee commented that Mrs Molenkamp and Mrs Cranston's behaviour was unacceptable and that it was only because they shared a table with Lee Churches, Margaret Rowe and Kym Tattersall that they got away with it. "If it had been anyone else, Neil Moon would have thrown them out."

Comments were also made about staff absences from the night. Nedkelly told Carenne Gate that she couldn't believe that Anne Baskerville, one of the people calling for a sensory wall didn't show up. Another attendee commented about Michael Auld breezing in and out of the event. "He might as well not have came along," said the attendee.

According to Carenne Support, they have raised enough money for the sensory wall they want for the school.

Inside the Klan: Nedkelly exposes Lee Churches' plan to ruin whistleblower

Carenne Special School whistleblower "nedkelly" has told Carenne Gate that Lee Churches told her of complaints made about her by dismissed whistleblower Brian Carter and masterminded the plot against him. She claimed it was just one of a series of dirty tricks pulled by the klan.

"nedkelly" claims that she was warned by Miss Churches that Mr Carter was blaming her for his dismissal due to complaints made about him by her.

Nedkelly told Carenne Gate -
"Before he was sacked, I was told to make complaints about Brian Carter by Lee and Michael, they wanted him gone because he knew about many of the scams and child abuse going on."

"The quickest way to discredit him was to have him sacked. Lee told me I would be one of the first to go down and I panicked."

Nedkelly says that when her and another Klansmen's complaints went nowhere they changed tact.

"By that stage Michael wanted Nathan Carter out of the way too. Nathan had reported him for something and Michael said he had to go. Anyway, the main target was Carter so we bribed Terry. We threatened for him to sack Carter or we would expose his wrongdoing. This was entirely Lee's idea."

It is claimed that outgoing principal took the bait and eventually sacked Mr Carter. When Mr Carter protested and said he knew of the group who underlaid his dismissal, Mr Mahony allegedly told assistant principal and fellow Carenne Support director Lee Churches who warned nedkelly and others about Mr Carter's complaint.

"Lee told us to have someone make mischief first day back so that Carter looked bad to the new principal. She knew he would be blamed."

Nedkelly then claims that her and a number of others approached Lyn Duncan at the insistence of Ms Churches claiming they were concerned about their jobs following Mr Carter's claim that they had caused his dismissal.

After this, Nedkelly claims to have written anonymous letters to the school and School Education Director Peter Harvey at the direction of Lee Churches.

"I would write these letters defaming myself and the rest of the klan because Lee said it would look like Carter was doing it, Lyn fell for it, " said nedkelly.

Michael Auld wasting school resources: nedkelly

With Neil Moon telling his staff to reduce their use of the school's colour photocopier due to high costs, former klansmen turned whistleblower nedkelly claims that this misuse can be put down to a minority of staff not the majority.

Nedkelly told Carenne Gate that she is "fed up" with being leered at by school administrator Helen Windsor and questioned when she uses the colour copier/printer to make resources for her class. Nedkelly said she probably makes no more than 20 colour prints per week but she is made to feel bad for doing so, despite the resources needing to be in colour.

Nedkelly said -

"It really pisses me off being treated like some sort of criminal because I use the colour copier on occasion, a little misuse comes during school hours but most of it is after hours, this abuse is costing the school money which impacts on the school's programs."

Nedkelly went on to lay the blame with a number of Carenne staff. She claimed that she had often seen Michael Auld printing colour materials for the Riding for the Disabled Association and St Vincent de Paul using the colour copier. She also claimed that Auld asked for the security system to be modified so staff could enter the photocopying room after hours and over school holidays, something verified in part by meeting minutes obtained by Carenne Gate in Term 2.

"I have seen Auld print hundreds of pages at a time, all related to RDA. When I complained to Neil about it, I was told to mind my own business," said nedkelly.

nedkelly also says that the setup of some computers is to blame. She said that some of the new computers received by the school and set up by Michael Auld had the colour printer set as default. She claimed that most staff are so technically illiterate that they are unable to change the printer when printing and most students would make the same mistake when printing. Nedkelly told us -
"It shows the complete incompetence of Michael Auld, he has no idea what he is doing, he is a complete f--- up."

nedkelly went on to allege that Melinda Gavin, Janelle Kemp, Paula Hundy and Angela Cranston all used the colour printer to print personal colour photographs.

Bathurst Staff Support Officer identified as corrupt

It comes as no surprise to readers of this blog that the NSW government is entrenched with corruption and cover-ups and it is probably even less of a surprise that staff in the Western Region of the Department of Education and Training are involved in corrupt activities.

nedkelly has implicated Bathurst Assistant Staff Support Officer Janette Crawford in supporting false worker's compensation claims and interfering in claims of those known to be against the KLAN.

nedkelly claims that a comment posted by an anonymous user was true in part. nedkelly claims that she was told by Lee Churches to call GIO and make a report that Lyn Duncan was faking stress leave arising from her being named and shamed on Sydney Indymedia because she was an alcoholic and that nedkelly had seen her drinking alcohol during school hours in her office. nedkelly says that Churches told her that this tip had come from the Staff Support Officer at district office.

She claims that she was told by Janette Crawford that she should refuse to be interviewed by GIO over Nathan Carter's stress claim as there were pending investigations involving the ICAC. nedkelly alleges that Ms Crawford told her "we don't look after whistleblowers here, he should suffer for what he has done." She also claims that she was told to tell anyone that asked that she had learned that Nathan Carter had started his own business and had no intention of returning to Carenne. nedkelly claims that she knew this was not correct but was told to "toe the line" or be dismissed.

nedkelly alleges that Janette Crawford had a duty to report and take action against Michael Auld after Ms Churches and he schemed up a plan to stop Nathan Carter from returning to Carenne. nedkelly was aware that Mr Auld had told Ms Crawford that he would "smack out" Nathan Carter if he returned to Carenne. She said that Mr Auld told her that Ms Crawford thought it was funny.

nedkelly also alleges that she was told by Janette Crawford to be prepared to lie about Prue Luffman's claim if she was asked to be interviewed and to say that she was faking being stressed and that at no time had anyone said anything to her about being in a sexual relationship with Peter Richards. When she questioned whether or not this was put in writing, Ms Crawford told her that any records showing that would be destroyed to protect the school.

Save Carenne also provided a response when contacted by Carenne Gate. She said that she was told that Janette Crawford had told Bev Masters not to pursue a worker's compensation claim because it would make the school bad and just to take sick leave for stress, she also claims that district office was supportive of two claims made by Simone Russell, one when she was sick with pneumonia and her step-son was being investigated and another this year when she took time away from the office because she couldn't do the job and also because she wanted to be at home with her daughter. According to Save Carenne, Mrs Russell told her that she was furious that GIO had rejected her worker's compensation claim and said "I deserve some sort of compensation from being put through hell and back in that place."

Students miss out on RDA while aide takes holiday

Concerned parents have contacted Carenne Gate outraged that their children have been unable to access Riding for the Disabled for the past three weeks because Melinda Gavin has been on holidays.

Both Carenne Special School and RDA have been questioned by parents about why there can be no RDA program just because Mrs Gavin has decided to take holidays in the middle of the school term. One parent said "I asked why the program was so reliant on Mrs Gavin and was told that she is the only person who can run the program because nobody else is trained, it was just like when her child was sick a few years ago, everyone missed out because of it, it is so poorly organised it isn't funny,"

"You would have thought then that they would of worked on making sure they had alternative arrangements."

Another parent said "I am concerned about the level of control Michael Auld and Melinda Gavin have over RDA, it is just like another arm of the school, nobody is allowed in there, it's Melinda or nobody."

nedkelly told Carenne Gate "I don't know why they can't train Jasmine Ryan up to do the job, that would make sense. She was given the job of filling in for Gavin in Auld's class because she was a 'horsey' person, why can't she run RDA when Gavin takes one of her breaks?"

It is believed that on the days that Mrs Gavin is away from the school and working at RDA that she continues to be paid by the school who have to also arrange a relief aide.

Carenne Gate has learned that there will be no RDA program again next Thursday as Melinda Gavin is participating in the Gulgong Endurance Horse Ride.

It's about time staff such as Melinda Gavin take their responsibilities to the students of Carenne Special School seriously and put student needs before their own.
