Auld under investigation

Michael Auld, the Labor party stooge who is no stranger to being in hot water is once again being investigated by the department's EPAC branch according to senior document officials.

The officials claim to have received reports from Auld's former aide Melinda Gavin that he has leaked confidential school information, misappropriated school funds and property, sexually harassed staff and assaulted students.

Gavin gave an interview to EPAC officers at the beginning of term claiming that -

• Auld had accessed confidential information on school computers in 2009 and 2010 and had leaked it,
• Auld planted evidence on staff computers to implicate staff,
• Destroyed documents implicating Lee Churches, Margaret Rowe, Simone Russell and himself,
  
• Diverted funds to RDA,
• Stolen school property,
• Had inappropriate conversations of a sexual nature with make students,
• Gave students pornography,
• Showed pornography in class,
• Inappropriately touched female students,
• Made unwanted sexual advanced towards her, including exposing himself

These allegations come as no surprise given Auld's bizarre behavior. Auld's conduct places students at serious risk of harm. Despite being covered up by the school, Mr Auld had a checkered history with the department, having a number of issues recorded on his file for misconduct.

Neil Moon breached self-evaluation committee guidelines, attempted to mislead in annual school report

Regular readers of this blog would be well aware of the general level of incompetence displayed by Carenne Special School's principal Neil Moon. Moon is known as someone incapable of dealing with the serious issues at Carenne and who will lie and mislead parents and the public at every available opportunity to make himself look better.

Each year, every school in NSW has to publish an Annual School Report about the school. These reports include information on student numbers, staff numbers, student performance, school self-evaluation and areas identified for improvement. These reports are part of the department's requirements for transparency and accountability to parents, the school community, the department and the federal government.

As part of the reporting process, the principal appoints a self-evaluation committee consisting of community and parent representatives, teachers and executive staff members.

In 2010, Neil Moon breached departmental guidelines by not having a community or parent representative on the committee. In the report he lists Simone Russell, a school learning support officer at the school as the parent representative. He also lists Janelle Kemp as a teacher, despite her acting as an assistant principal at the time of the report. Given the history of both Mrs Russell and Mrs Kemp, parents and the public at large should be concerned about their appointment to the committee and Mr Moon's misleading statements about who they represented on the committee.

Once again procedures developed by the department for transparency and accountability are being sidestepped by Neil Moon who continues to cover-up the mass of issues at Carenne.

Simone Russell's fake injury

As readers of this blog would know, Simone Russell has been off work for most of this year, first claiming stress as a result of postings on this blog and then due to a neck strain she claims to have gotten at work.

Staff at the school are well aware that the true reason Simone doesn't want to work is because she is a racist who has been paired with a lady of African heritage. She doesn't want to have to work with Mrs Okello because she thinks she is too good to work underneath a "black woman."

This is a fact which is well known to Neil Moon, Peter Harvey and Carole McDiarmid, yet she can continue to get away with it. If it was anyone else they would be told to tough it out or walk out the door.

A more recent reason for Simone's fraud is because she has been planning her daughter's 21st birthday, which was held on the weekend. Unfortunately for Simone, it appeared in the Western Advocate on page 10 today where she can be seen leaning her neck slightly to the side, which would hurt her already injured neck.

It is obvious that Simone Russell is milking the system dry and should be sacked. If Neil Moon and Peter Harvey don't have the manhood to do it, they too should be charged with supporting her fraudulent claims.

Cop with nine lives to return to Bathurst area

Scott Russell, the corrupt police officer who keeps getting away with unprofessional behaviour is returning to the Bathurst area according to nedkelly.

nedkelly told Carenne Gate that she was told by Simone Russell yesterday that it was safe for her to return to work because Scott was coming back from Colleanabri and would protect her and "take care of all the bastards causing trouble for their family."

In the past, Scott Russell has been implicated in leaks of police information, harassing staff at McDonalds in Bathurst, harassing and threatening Lyn Duncan, being involved in the cover up of his pedophile son Jeremy and threatening people making complaints about his family.

It is frightening that someone as corrupt as Scott Russell with a chip on his shoulder is returning to the area in a position of responsibility where people he has threatened are.

Jeremy Russell: Why is he not in jail?

It is well known that Jeremy Russell no longer works at Carenne because of an incident involving a 14 year-old girl which he was attempting to groom for sex on the Internet website Facebook. According to sources at Carenne and Simone Russell herself, Jeremy got away with it because he was "set up".

People who read the numerous Carenne blogs would know from the Inside Carenne Blog that the profile Jeremy was using to groom this young girl remains the profile he uses to this day. Of course the Police have done nothing about it because the investigation was interfered with by corrupt policeman Scott Russell.

The department received a copy of the messages from a person claiming to be the underage girl's father, which were used to revoke his authority to be a bus escort.

Jeremy well aware of the girl's age according to these messages:
JR: lol yeah . . . So your turnin 16 soon . . . Thats not bad at all
Girl: nah 15 soon babe
JR: oh yeah . . . Thats alright. . . . Doesnt bother me at all

Jeremy then gave the girl his mobile phone number: "If u wanna txt me u on my number is 04213X2413"

In the tradition of his family, Jeremy said he would buy the girl alcohol:
Girl: how did u know im a vodka chick? sorry I went b4 my phone went
flat. so u would buy me booze ay?
JR: oh i duno i guess id seewhow lucky u were lol
Girl: oh really, how lucky could i get?
JR: i duno but its lookin pretty high at the moment

On another occasion, Jeremy promised to buy the girl Vodka while he drank beer:
JR: ill buy u vodka ill drink beer

The girl was then told that Jeremy would do "terrible things" to her:
Girl: not yet. oh so what would you do about it if you could?
JR: haha . . . I would do terrible things
Girl: i mite like though :)
JR: lol theres only one way to find out

Jeremy confidently told the girl that there was nothing her father could do if he told anyone:
Girl: what if he tells who you work for or the police. oh babe, i need cuddles
JR: whats he goin to say? Nothin he can say will do anything . . Where not goin out so there is nothin he can do
Girl: u dont want to go out but you would have fun with me? thats not nice
JR: i didnt say that . . . But what would ur dad think . . . I would go out with u aswell so dnt think i wouldnt

When the discussion turned to sending photos to the girl, Jeremy attempted to procure her for child pornography, he said he would send her anything she wanted as long as she sent the same back. He also told the girl that she shouldn't tell her parents about the relationship for a while.

On March 13 2009, Jeremy again asked the girl for naked photos:

This is the sort of person that Simone Russell, a SLSO at Carenne and Insp Scott Russell have protected. How can Simone possibly remain at Carenne when she covered up this level of filth?

Simone Russell and the supply of alcohol to minors - a sackable offence

Carenne's corrupt former SAM turned SLSO, Simone Russell can be sacked for her supply of alcohol to her underage daughter and others, however, a proper investigation has never been conducted as Simone was thought to have been to 'hell and back' during the Carenne Gate Affair.

It has been posted on the Inside Carenne Blogspot that Simone and Scott Russell encouraged underage drinking at their house prior to February 2010 and again only recently. It has also been reported that in May 2009, the Russell's put down a large amount of money on the bar of the Oxford Hotel for their daughter's 16th birthday where underage children were permitted to drink alcohol.

Ironically, Simone was the person who created the 'pisant' Blogspot which revealed that Lee Churches had supplied her underage son with alcohol and drugs.

What Simone fails to realise is that her conduct can be investigated by EPAC and is an offence that is sackable. It breaches child protection policies, guidelines and good practice and is in breach of the department's code of conduct. Peter Harvey is aware of these issues and refuses to refer the matter to EPAC because 'Simone has been to hell and back with the Jeremy sex scandal.' What is interesting is that the department sacked Jeremy as an escort and will refuse to employ him in any capacity as he was grooming a 14 year-old girl for sex on the Internet.

There is no loyalty in the Russell family. When Simone was approached by the Police for posting on the blog as hatho, she said that it must have been Jeremy or her son Corey and that she had never posted on the blog. She admitted that both boys may have overheard conversations at home and decided to post on the blog 'making it look like it came from her.'

Anyone can see that Russell is part of the Carenne Cabal and will not be touched by Moon, Harvey or McDiarmid. In a perfect world she would be sacked but of course she is protected because she is married to a policeman and part of the cabal.

A/Insp Scott Russell and Simone Russell still allow underage drinking at their house

The alcohol licensing officer for the Coonamble/Walgett region, Scott Russell and his wife, a teacher's aide at Carenne School have been caught allowing underage drinking at their house again.

The second and third photos show Simone's underage daughter drinking alcohol at a party. Why is Scott Russell allowed to supply alcohol to minors?

Mary Housler commits a criminal offence on this blog

Last night, Mary Housler, the administrator of Carenne Support posted on this blog about the criminal records of two juveniles. Under NSW law, the publication of the names of children involved in criminal offences is punishable by a maximum 12 months imprisonment.

Mrs Housler made the Anonymous posting at 8:28 PM last night. Through IP address logs and emails provided to Carenne Gate, the Anonymous comment was traced to the Carenne Support administrator.

According to Liberty Star, one of the persons named were reporting to Portland Police Station while Sgt Scott Russell was stationed there, providing further evidence of the supply of police information by Scott and Simone Russell.

As a person who commented on this blog, Mary Housler is considered the person who published the information.

P&C meeting a flop

The P&C meeting held at Carenne on Monday was a complete flop according to one observer. The school's incompetent principal, Neil Moon warned a few weeks ago that the P&C was at risk of folding due to a lack of people at meetings and the resignation of the president, secretary and treasurer.

Two of the people who resigned were Janelle Kemp and Simone Russell.

According to an observer at the P&C meeting, only a handful of people were in attendance, well short of the 20 claimed by Neil Moon.

The meeting shows the complete lack of support that Carenne has within its local community following the mass of issues relating to child protection, finance and staff bullying.

Another attack on a whistleblower

The vehicle of Carenne Special School whistleblower, Jenny O'Neill has been attacked. Violence against Carenne whistleblowers is nothing new with Brian Carter's car being attacked and the attempted carjacking of Mr Carter by Carenne Support director Geoff Salmon.

Threats against whistleblowers have also been made by Michael Auld, Lee Churches, Christine Porter, Simone Russell, Jeremy Russell, Geoff Salmon and Paul Knight.

The attack on Mrs O'Neill's vehicle shows how desperate those at Carenne are getting and the low tactics they will use to silence anyone who speaks out.

EPAC passes the buck on complaints

The Department of Education and Training's Employee Performance and Conduct Directorate (EPAC) which investigates allegations against employees has once again passed the buck on a complaint about Simone Russell, who posts on this blog as "hatho".

Carenne Gate is well aware of the identity of "hatho", through both her emails to our bloggers and her postings on this blog. Several of her friends have provided Carenne Gate with the IP address embedded in emails from her sjrussell42@bigpond.com address.

Malcolm Barnett, an investigator at EPAC was contacted about vulgar and racist remarks made by Simone Russell on Sunday as well as her refusal to work with a woman of African heritage due to the colour of her skin but instead claimed that Russell was not "clearly identifiable" and that racist conduct should be reported to Neil Moon or Peter Harvey.

This is despite racism being prohibited by both anti-discrimination laws in NSW and the department's code of conduct. Breaches of the code of conduct should be investigated by EPAC.

Carenne P&C at risk of collapse

Parents have been warned by Neil Moon that fundraising at Carenne Special School could be at risk with the Carenne P&C at risk of being wound up. According to a plea sent to parents by Neil Moon, the P&C requires a president, treasurer and secretary for the next year.

Mr Moon has called on parents, carers and grandparents to pay the $2 membership fee and attend the next meeting or the P&C might be forced to wind up, with any funds it presently has being forfeited.

Carenne Gate has learned that Janelle Kemp (president), Simone Russell (secretary) and the treasurer have stood down from the committee. Carenne Gate has called for the resignation of Janelle Kemp following her claims that it was parents supplying information to this blog.

Neil Moon has pleaded with parents to pay the $2 membership fee and to attend the annual general meeting or the P&C risked having to be closed.

According to former Carenne employee, carennetruth, the P&C had been operating against its rules. Carennetruth alleges that most meetings did not have the people required to meet the quorum and any decisions made are illegal.

It is not the first time that Simone Russell has been implicated in poor management, with her time as Carenne's School Administration Manager marred by incompetence. She failed to properly manage the school budget, used funds allocated for one thing for something else and wrote cheques for an account which didn't exist. According to Mother Goose, former Carenne principal warned Simone about her questionable practices. "Lyn told her that she had been illegally writing cheques and even joked that they could both end up in jail and that Lyn wanted the top bunk!" said Mother Goose.

While it is no loss that Janelle Kemp and Simone Russell are leaving the P&C it is of concern that the school could be without a P&C association. It shows the complete lack of support Carenne has amongst the community following years of maladministration, corruption and child abuse.

Why Simone Russell gets special treatment on worker's comp

Over the years, Simone Russell has supposedly made many worker's comp claims for things which have nothing to do with her job. She tried to get workers comp when her step-son was being investigated by the police for trying to get on with a 14 year-old, when she had pneumonia and when Scott was under investigation.

Why is Simone allowed to get away with this?

Simone thinks it is a big joke that the corrupt SSO, Jeanette Crawford is a friend of hers as her daughter Chloe is friends with Simone's step-daughter and was in a sexual relationship with Jeremy when she was underaged. That's why she gets special treatment.

Carenne presentation day a farce

According to parents and staff, Carenne Special School's presentation day held at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre was a complete farce, with key Carenne supporters missing from the event. Despite ordinarily attending presentation day, Peter Harvey and Carole McDiarmid were absent from the event. Key Carenne Support personnel were also missing from the event.

As expected, the principal of the school publicly named and shamed for lying to the media, Neil Moon spun how good the school was and how it was one of the few special schools being heavily invested in by the government. One parent said "It was supposed to be a celebration of the students not some spin session, with Neil Moon raving on like a lunatic about how great the staff and school are."

According to the Carenne Saviours, the event was poor compared to previous years. "Neil Moon really showed how utterly incompetent he is with it being the worst presentation day I have been to. It was a absolute joke," said Barracus.

"What made me laugh was half the organisations giving awards didn't even turn up to present them, how do we even know it was them that gave them out? Nobody showed, people don't want to be associated with the school," said nedkelly.

Another Carenne Saviour said "You could tell that it was organised by Louise Smith and Simone Russell, it was a joke, it was the worst presentation day ever."

One parent told Carenne Gate "I was sickened by the day today, it was completely degrading of the students, it was terrible. I couldn't believe the behaviour of some of the staff, they showed just how incompetent the school was."

Is Angie Cranston the aide from hell?

The Carenne Saviours have contacted Carenne Gate concerned about staffing adjustments being made at Carenne Special School due to her relentless bullying and harassment of other staff. Despite a history of incompetence, sexual misconduct, misuse of school equipment and being named in bullying complaints, Neil Moon does nothing about Cranston's misconduct.

"Angie is part of Neil Moon's inner circle" said one Saviour.

The Saviours allege that Angie Cranston, along with Simone Russell, Michael Auld and Margaret Rowe was responsible for spreading rumours throughout the school that Prue Luffman was having an affair with Peter Richards, leading to Mrs Luffman's nervous breakdown and resignation from Carenne. They also claim that along with Lucy Thornton, Angie Cranston hid or destroyed evidence that Carenne Support were not providing therapy to students which they had claimed they were doing therapy on.

The Saviours claim that Barbara Woolfe resigned from Carenne after working with Mrs Cranston, who made several serious allegations about her including claims that Mrs Woolfe was abusing children.

Earlier in the year, Kelly Thompson, a teacher highly regarded by parents was forced on to stress leave after she was bullied and harassed by Mrs Cranston. The department has since relocated her to Bathurst West Public to take her out of the stressful environment at Carenne.

The latest teacher to fall victim to Mrs Cranston is Matt Casey, who now refuses to work in the class despite being offered block work on that class. According to the Saviours, Mr Casey claimed he could not work with a woman like Mrs Cranston who pushed staff around and who neglected the welfare of students.

The failure of Neil Moon and Peter Harvey to take action against Mrs Cranston shows the special treatment members of the so-called Carenne Klan receive from the department.

Strange staffing practices continue at Carenne

Despite coming under fire for employing friends and family over others, using nepotistic procedures when filling permanent positions and allowing a teacher who wasn't approved by the Department of Education and Training to teach for a number of weeks, senior staff at Carenne are still resorting to truly bizarre staffing practices.

It has been learned that on Tuesday the 21st of September, Lucy Thornton declared she was relieving for School Administration Officer Rhonda Griffiths and paid accordingly, despite relieving School Learning Support Officer Simone Russell who was working in the office in Ms Griffith's place. It appears that executive staff at Carenne neglected to consider what would of happened if Mrs Thornton had been injured or if a student was injured, because as far as anyone knew, Mrs Thornton was working in the office.

Even more bizarrely, Anne Baskerville's SLSO was away for the day and because Sue Sewell was working on another class that day, she arranged to have a 16 year-old female student from Laurie Healey's classroom assist her for the day. The school executive and in particular Laurie Healey allowed a disabled 16 year-old student to assist a teacher with looking after six high-support needs students.

During term 2, Anne Baskerville sucessfully had Neil Moon employ another aide for the class as she claimed the workload and supervision required in that room showed that it was necessary. For most of term 2, the class was supervised by three adults. Mr Moon terminated funding for this arrangement in term 3, and despite Ms Baskerville's claims that the room needs three adults, she allowed a 16 year-old student to work as an aide.

These strange and bizarre staffing practices show that under the school's current leadership there remain serious issues which the department has not attempted to address.

Parents may be called upon to keep class budgets afloat

According to information and documents received from Carenne Special School whistleblowers, a number of classes have used their budget for the year and now parents may be called upon to keep key school programs such as cooking afloat.

According to the information, Michael Auld, Peter Richards, Laurie Healey, Nadine Dwyer and Ros Luther have exhausted their class budget for this year, with another three months to go in the school year. According to an email between Helen Windsor, Carenne's new administrator and Neil Moon leaked to Carenne Gate last week several classes are close to or have exceeded their budget and parents may need to contribute money towards independent living schools programs for those classes if the programs are to continue until the end of the year.

According to one Carenne Saviour, a conversation took place between Mr Moon and Mrs Windsor last week where she told him that she was concerned about the amount of money Michael Auld had been putting down for work experience activities associated with the Riding for the Disabled Association.

Hatho told Carenne Gate that the problems were associated with Mrs Windsor not being creative enough -

"This write your class name on every receipt is rubbish, when Simone was SAM, if one class' budget was exceeded she would just allocate that to a class which wasn't and which had fewer costs, that way important programs can continue, she is just not being creative enough."

The comment by hatho indicates that under Mrs Russell's administration, much of the school's funding was being diverted away from where it should have been going. Instead of allowing teachers who routinely go over their budget to siphon funds from elsewhere they should be more careful of the public's money.

A saviour told Carenne Gate that Kelly Thompson had one of the best systems for classroom funds. "Kelly actually had the class deliver newspapers as part of both their PE and to receive money for classroom activities and reward activities. For other activities she would have the parents make a very small contribution which if not received would exclude the student from that activity like an ordinary school. Auld and Churches hated this because they said she was being too tough, but she claimed it taught the students to be responsible."

As we have seen far too often at Carenne, a few get a free ride and special treatment to the detriment of others.

Inside the Klan: Churches and Housler wanted Jenny O'Neill gone

Former klansmen "nedkelly" has provided further insight into the operation of the group known as the KLAN which controls Carenne Special School in Bathurst. This time, nedkelly has spoken to Carenne Gate about how Lee Churches and Mary Housler wanted bus driver Jenny O'Neill dismissed from her job because she had made complaints about people.

Nedkelly claims that plans had been on foot to dismiss Mrs O'Neill as early as June 2009, but Ms Churches was concerned about how it would look with two bus drivers dismissed in the space of six months.

"Lee told me around June that she wanted Jenny gone because she was a snitch. She said that she had complained about the wrong people and we would have to come up with a plan to have her dismissed but it would need to be a long-term plan because two dismissals in a short period of time would be suspicious," said nedkelly.

She said at the end of 2009, Ms Churches began telling members of the KLAN to complain about Mrs O'Neill being on the blog. When this site was created in November 2009, Ms Churches printed fliers off using the school printer and gave them to Lucy Thornton to pass around to staff so they were aware of the new site.

"Lee printed off fliers using the school's printer and had them passed out by Lucy on the condition that when Lucy was caught out she would say Jenny told her about the new site, Lee said that this would end support for Jenny with Christine Porter who had been one of her supporters," said nedkelly.

Nedkelly says that when Carenne Support had a union representative turn up at a meeting with Mrs O'Neill they became cautious about sacking her. She said that Ms Churches would turn to hassling Jenny away from work.

According to nedkelly, earlier this year Ms Churches and Mary Housler became upset about complaints that Mrs O'Neill had made about Geoff Salmon and Ms Churches. "Lee then said we had to make sure that she went after that, she told us we got rid of two snitches we can get rid of her."

Mrs Housler had a disliking for Mrs O'Neill because she had refused to sign blank pay claims according to nedkelly. Mrs Housler was often heard by nedkelly in the officer rubbishing Mrs O'Neill to Simone Russell.

Nedkelly says a series of complaints were made about Mrs O'Neill but the board of Carenne Support were cautious of dismissing her. Nedkelly says that Christine Porter was asked to step down from her role as bus supervisor (which she took on as part of her role as CEO) so that Mrs Housler's friend Dave Graham could take the job.

"As always happens at Carenne, the job was already fixed up before the job was even advertised. Dave Graham was a friend of Housler's and the interview was just to look as though it was a genuine redundancy, it wasn't."

Nedkelly's tale shows that the KLAN who operate Carenne Special School will not tolerate anyone who dares to speak the truth about Carenne.

Police claim they are being fed with false information

According to a whistleblower from the police force who must remain anonymous due to the possibility of harassment from others has said that police are being misled by Carenne staff following the admission by senior departmental staff on Monday that most of the information on this blog was being supplied by staff of the school.

The officer said that Neil Moon, Simone Russell, Lee Churches, Peter Richards, Kelly Thompson and Michael Auld have made complaints to Police and said that they claimed that the blog is full of lies and is being fed by people outside of the school. The officer claims that they were told by several Carenne staff that the department has conducted an investigation and found that nobody at Carenne was supplying information or posting on this blog. The officer said that Simone and Scott Russell had made claims to police that they hired a private investigator who had traced everything to Brian Carter. The officer told Carenne Gate -

"It's pretty bad when you have a senior police officer making allegations he knows are false to try and set up someone they don't like."

The officer told Carenne Gate he was concerned about the detectives who were investigating this blog -

"One is a friend of the Russell family who helped Scott get his promotion, another is a close friend of Mark Smith's and the third has a grudge against certain people involved in this mess,"

"The police investigation will get nowhere because it is engineered to protected certain people and nothing else."

Carenne KLAN missing in action

A number of Carenne Special School staff have contacted Carenne Gate this afternoon saying that they find it strange that the three key players in the Carenne KLAN - Lee Churches, Michael Auld and Simone Russell were absent from school today. Staff claim that they were left in the dark about why they were away.

All staff who reported the majority of the KLAN being away said they were glad they had a day without them working with them.

"It was almost relaxing today, no bitching, lying, backstabbing or setting up. If Carenne was like this everyday there would be less problems. Even the students seemed calmer today."

Another Carenne staff member said they believed it was likely that the trio were making a group worker's compensation claim blaming this blog for their "stress".
