A woman was taken to hospital after getting her leg stuck in a stormwater drain while delivering the free weekly newspaper yesterday.
The woman, a teacher at Carenne Public School, was with a group of students delivering the Western Times.
As she put her foot down where the cement drain meets the grass on the corner of Rankin and Browning streets, her leg disappeared into the drain.
Carenne principal Neil Moon said the children went back to the school to let someone know what had happened.
Commentary
According to "hatho" Angela Cranston, the School Learning Support Officer stayed with the injured teacher while students walked back to the school unsupervised in a serious breach of child protection guidelines. Hatho claims despite it being school policy to take a school phone with them when leaving the school with students, neither Ellen Sutton (the injured teacher) or Angela Cranston took one.

The school was rang and she didn't fucking answer so the decision was made to send the kids back to the school to get help.
Angie Cranston must be sacked, this is the second serious mistake she has made, the first was bagging out the kids in the newspaper last year at Genes for Jeans day. This is far far worse. She must be sacked.

Of course it is hard to determine now when Lee Churches, Mary Housler, Michael Auld, Simone "hatho" Russell and Margaret "nedkelly" Rowe get on here and spew bullshit. They can't help themselves but to lie about the goings on at Carenne. I only bother reading the articles which contain some truth, the comments are mostly bullshit and insults.
6.42pm people are tired of walking into the school and seeing simone scantily clad leaning over the front counter with her breasts hanging out. it is disgusting and is sexual harassment. that is what they were talking about. it has become a popular topic of conversation in the staffroom to mention how disgusting certain members of staff dress, particularly those who work with young males.
It seems the DET doesn't take much seriously.
