A number of concerned Carenne Special School staff have contacted Carenne Gate concerned about Michael Auld's plans to charge students or the school a fee to access the therapy farm at the Riding for the Disabled complex behind the school.
The therapy farm program, which many staff were told was being funded by RDA and Michael Auld was actually being funded by Carenne Special School, which the Snowden Review found was inappropriate. The issue follows claims that RDA has been charging the school $80 per student and claims that RDA received part of Carenne and Denison College's $3.7 million trade training centre funding due to Michael Auld being on both the RDA and TTC committees.
The program has been placed on hold while alternate sources of funding are investigated. Michael Auld told staff that participants may need to pay to access the program if it starts again which would of course be paid by either parents/carers or the school.
It is the latest in a string of scams by Mr Auld.

The farm is a valuable program to Carenne students. It is integrated into the student's IEPs it's so important. When parents have to pay to use this service they can thank Brian Carter and his supporters.
Are you on something or just stoooopid? You didn't answer the question hag. There is a few lambs, alpacas, pigs (only recently) and goats. Now the lambs are in Michael's class most of the time.

Michael Auld is a problem but you need to realise it isn't a simple case of telling them to walk the plank because the federation will skin the department alive. Auld has been the subject of numerous complaints, including some from parents. Parents are the ones who will get real action and more of you need to stand up like Shane. He already has SEA rattled. Di is hoping he gets bored and goes away but I can't see that happening.

There not many good staff at carenne school Lee Churches has seen to that.
Parents and staff do need to stand together but staff need to remain anonymous until there is a groundswell of support. Those running the Carenne campaign need to look to Dubbo College for guidance, staff have been able to openly badger the department because they have so much support, the department can't get to them.
You are right, there aren't many decent staff at Carenne. The reason is that you have a leadership team that prefers mediocrity over excellence. When you have a leadership team which is quite frankly useless you are going to have useless staff below. What you can be assured is that those of us in the department outside of Carenne that want to see the status quo destroyed have reliable links back to the school.

Lee Churches is fearful of anyone below her who shows any form of promise or initiative. The thing we laugh about at SEA with her is how the principals at the school say that she is highly experienced and capable but she has worked at Carenne for all of her career and nearly always in the junior school.
Pull her out of Carenne and put her at another school and she would be shown to be the incompetent fool she really is.

Parents have complained about his blatant favourtism towards particular students, his bizarre classroom management strategies and focusing too much on the therapy farm at RDA instead of on teaching.

Jenny was sacked because she is too honest. Lee put her in the job because Jenny was her long-time friend and thought she would turn a blind eye to things but she ended up being someone who would stand up for these kids.

Lucy and others wonder about protection. Make you your complaints about school management and ministy oversight or the lack of it as protected disclosures. Take your lead from Nathan Carter. But be warned the legislation is not popular with government. Look what has been done to other whistleblowers. But without a doubt you will need to stop complaining to those responcible for the problems. Dont forget this is a political issue because Gerard Martin, Tooley and the education minister dont want to keep the truth from getting out.

Unfortunately Nathan Carter is the appropriate person to have done this. In reality he has nothing to lose, he can afford to be shafted by the department as he was because he is someone who has skills which are not reliant on working with the department. The rest of us are education trained and can't afford to be shafted.

That means complaining beyond the Education Department, making protected disclosuers and asking to have your identity hidden because there is already evidence before the bathurst court that members of the KLAN and their supportets will attack.
