It has been revealed that a parent whose two daughters attend the Carenne Special School has been refused Special Needs Transport assistance by the Department of Education and Training, despite having to make a 40 Km round trip twice per day.
The Department of Education and Training will not provide assistance to the students as they claim their parents can bring them to and from school.
Despite this claim, a teacher at the Carenne Special School, Janelle Kemp receives transport assistance for her son to be transported to and from school by Carenne Support Ltd, an organisation central to the Carenne Gate affair. Staff claim that Mrs Kemp has a suitable vehicle to transport her son to school and claim that the rule stating parents mustn't be able to bring their children to and from school to be eligible for transport assistance must have been relaxed or overlooked in her case.

wrong again - janelle brings her son to school every morning and meets the criteria that special transport have for transporting students - her son only uses the transport for 2 afernoons a week when for private reasons (non of your business!!!)she is unable to transport him to his carer. You don't seem to understand that any contractor has no say in who uses their buses - they are told by wollongong who they must transport
The parents who brings his own children to school obviously does not meet the criteria set by wollongong - it has nothing to do with carenne or carenne support

but what you people fail to acknowledge is that transport is all done through wollongong.What arrangemenst parents make with special transport has nothing to do with carenne or carenne support.Contractors are told who they can transport and have no choice what so ever.So stop trying to make it sound like carenne has done something underhand.You just stretch the truth to make it sound worse.If a family cannot get special transport - they have not met the criteria set by wollongong - simple as that

it is not based on distance you idiots - it is assessed by wollongong on need and circumstances of each family.All applications are submitted by the Principal

The people on here are not making lies up and yes there are some wonderful staff at carenne but the klan are getting rid of the good staff to put there own snitches in.Why was the det at the school on thursday social visit was it dont think so.The department wont ignore it after next week i can assure you of that.

Terry arranged this as a favour for Janelle. She needed transport two days a week and he did it to help her, she is a good teacher and parent and respected member of the school community.
