A number of parents have contacted me over this week's Carenne Special School newsletter which they claim was more of a public relations and "spin" exercise than anything else.
In the newsletter, relieving principal Terry Neal claims that Carenne Support has purchased for Carenne Special School a wheelchair bus. Parents believe this is to hide the misappropriation of two buses in 2004/5.
The newsletter was also full of claims about how great the new classrooms were (on most of the class pages), despite the same staff claiming to parents that the classrooms had major issues.
Terry Neal on the front page mentioned that the classrooms will be "ideal" after some more fine tuning in relation to light and IT equipment. Staff have complained about skylights which create excessive light and let in too much heat. Staff also claim that Michael Auld didn't consider the skylights when he had the projectors installed.
Staff have also told me that there are issues with IT equipment after it wasn't installed correctly or important equipment mysteriously went missing while in the care of Mr Auld.

What equipment went missing?
I am told remote controls went missing and now they have to share one or two per class to use the projectors.
I am told that Mr Auld was given new projectors but these disappeared and new computers disappeared.
The fine tuning is an interesting comment when staff keep complaining about how Mr Auld only works on his friends' computers and one has been waiting almost two terms to be fixed.
Parents don't know how this incompetent man still has a job.
Nothing went missing you fucking liar. Michael is one of the finest teachers at Carenne.
The newsletter is edited by Simone and Terry, it is Terry's fault if it sounds like an advertisement.
Isn't it amazing, this stuff is mentioned on Indymedia and now excuses are in the newsletter. Parent's aren't fooled Carenne.
As for replacing two buses with one, you are still thieves.
neal gets the blame for every thing that is wrong.
They can never take responsibility for what they have done.
Doesn't Carenne have it's own IT staff? Why is it so hard for them to get it working?
Not anymore dave, Michael Fraud did everything he could to get rid of Carenne's technician and now Fraud can't get a thing done.
When everything worked, Fraud used to say that it was him that had it all running smoothly, now Carenne's technician is gone hardly anything works and he is blaming everyone else for it. This is why we now call him the fraud.
I forgot to mention that Carenne's technician was Brian Carter's son Nathan.
Mr Neal,
For the benefit of this debate, can you supply a copy of the registration papers for this new vehicle which you claim to have been bought for the school by Carenne Support?
It would appear that mark is right when he says these issues were canvassed on Sydney Indymedia and are now being discussed in the school newsletter. Did you read Indymedia?
Mr Auld, where is the allegedly missing equipment?
Now Michael Auld is being shown to be the fraud that he really is. There is so much around the school that he can't fix or get running, yet he always claimed he was the grease that kept the cogs turning.
Staff aren't fooled anymore, only the Klan repsect you now. The rest of us are sick of your pom pass excuses about why things don't work. Then you blame it all on the guys from TAFE that come around because you can't admit that you can't do it.
Michael Fraud is the best name we could have come up with for you.
When will you siphon more money off for your pet projects?
The Western Region DET, led by Carole McDiarmid are masters of spin. There have been complaints (not dissimilar to the feel good stories in Bathurst) about the number of positive stories coming out about the troubled Dubbo College.
Produce the registration certificate Mr Neal, prove that this isn't spin.
