Despite coming under fire for employing friends and family over others, using nepotistic procedures when filling permanent positions and allowing a teacher who wasn't approved by the Department of Education and Training to teach for a number of weeks, senior staff at Carenne are still resorting to truly bizarre staffing practices.
It has been learned that on Tuesday the 21st of September, Lucy Thornton declared she was relieving for School Administration Officer Rhonda Griffiths and paid accordingly, despite relieving School Learning Support Officer Simone Russell who was working in the office in Ms Griffith's place. It appears that executive staff at Carenne neglected to consider what would of happened if Mrs Thornton had been injured or if a student was injured, because as far as anyone knew, Mrs Thornton was working in the office.
Even more bizarrely, Anne Baskerville's SLSO was away for the day and because Sue Sewell was working on another class that day, she arranged to have a 16 year-old female student from Laurie Healey's classroom assist her for the day. The school executive and in particular Laurie Healey allowed a disabled 16 year-old student to assist a teacher with looking after six high-support needs students.
During term 2, Anne Baskerville sucessfully had Neil Moon employ another aide for the class as she claimed the workload and supervision required in that room showed that it was necessary. For most of term 2, the class was supervised by three adults. Mr Moon terminated funding for this arrangement in term 3, and despite Ms Baskerville's claims that the room needs three adults, she allowed a 16 year-old student to work as an aide.
These strange and bizarre staffing practices show that under the school's current leadership there remain serious issues which the department has not attempted to address.

Jenny did the wrong thing on the bus by giving them food and drinks that she shouldn't have. She also did the wrong thing by speaking about what was going on at the school and using her vulgar language in front of them. From what Nick has told me, Carenne Support agreed to provide therapy services to the Bathurst community on a fee-for-service basis. DADHC allocated funding to people and they should have got therapy from Carenne Support. Sadly, according to DADHC there was a waiting list a mile long and students at Carenne, particularly Phillip Salmon, Will Kemp, Corey Wilson-Russell were jumping the list and getting therapy. Just like how Will got respite at Interchange, that was corrupt too. Anyhow, DADHC decided that due to the mountain of complaints against Carenne Support that they would hire their own people.

I might not like Shane or his methods but even I have to say this is far too low. School fees or voluntary contributions as they are properly called have been set at low levels at Carenne so that our parents can afford to pay them but every parent has the choice about whether they pay them or not.
The only time they are compulsory is when they are for elective subjects which we do not do at Carenne. Michael Auld is trying to frame the therapy farm program as an elective subject. Even then, parents can claim hardship if they can't afford to pay, of course, Michael Auld hasn't told parents this.
To get on here and discriminate against a parent for not paying voluntary contributions is weak and low. Neil Moon should take action about this when he gets back, it is a serious matter.

School fees themselves are voluntary under all circumstances, ones for elective subjects are meant to be paid unless you are in financial hardship.
Free education for all is something I feel strongly about and to have someone like Janelle attack that is horrendous.

here we have another staff member running parents down wonder why no one trusts the blog or the school, the question is have you sent any gossip to the blog lately.

I am actually a parent of a child your suppose to be protecting at your school so preach to the right authorities.
One more joel and I think the bathurst community will get the picture.
I said, "We all need to sit down even if it needs to be seperate, ex employees, staff and parents and work together instead of doing it as individuals, better things happen with greater numbers working as a team. We all have our own agendas but our goals are the same clean up the school and make them accountable for their actions. If the police wont investigate how about a private investigator or someone similar. If you are still visiting bathurst soon please arrange to meet me and other parents, ex employees as I know from talking to them they are very interested in meeting you and Julie. I will not be giving lee and klan any more ammo by posting on blog. I will continue to go through the right channels with my complaints and hope to meet you or Julie soon. This needs to be sorted as a parent of a child who attends this school I am concerned about the welfare of my child and will do anything to protect my child, I am fair dinkum its about time the good staff as a group stand together, I dont know the numbers but surely they cant sack half the school for making the same or similar complaints, something would have to be done they have inside information that none of us has. They have the ammo we need and without it we have nothing, the cover up will continue, Agreed."
joels reply, "You are right, Julie keeps saying that the way people went about things in Dubbo is the best way, but the "good staff" at Carenne don't want to go down that road. At the moment we are all single targets, they are targeting us one by one. I think you are on to something by standing together. I was planning on coming to Bathurst on Monday but have spoken to the court there today and the charges against Churches, Moon and Neal wont be going ahead. It was nice to have been told, as I said I am operating in a vacuum. I still need to come to Bathurst and speak with people at some point soon. Of which nothing happened its alright when things are going joels way but when they dont, I will leave the good people of BATHURST to make their own minds up.
There is a reason people are offside with you joel and I know you dont care and there lies the real problem, we need people who care.

What a load of shit no one has contact numbers for you or libertarian so I would like to know how he got your number. Please be straight up with the bathurst community because we are sick of being mislead with lies. We all have your dodgy email addresses but sadly no phone numbers. And isnt it funny that julie or joel cannot be found. Come up and visit the town you might know whats going on.
