Just when those of us watching Carenne think that Neil Moon couldn't do anything more stupid or ridiculous he manages to surprise us by doing something even more stupid. Carenne Gate can reveal that students from Blayney and Lithgow slept at Carenne last night because Neil Moon didn't arrange for Dave Graham or Steve Minshull to take the students home early.
As cold weather fell across the area yesterday, it was made well known that roads out of Bathurst could be closed due to snow. By 3:20PM, the Great Western Highway between Bathurst and Lithgow was closed. Questions have been asked about why Neil Moon did not arrange for students to go home early.
Instead, a number of staff had to stay back to supervise students, some of which were stuck at Carenne overnight because of Moon's stupidity. It's about time that Peter Harvey wakes up to himself and does something about the incompetent, pompas fool running Carenne.
UPDATE: Information has come to hand which indicates that the department has been misled by Neil Moon about this incident. I will update this tonight - SEA Snitch

AN Amish man was accused today of text messaging a slew of lewd photos to a 12-year-old girl.
Despite his religion's traditional rules against modern technology, 21-year-old William Yoder allegedly sent nearly 600 text messages and videos to the would-be victim - including some of himself naked, WRTV-TV of Indianapolis said.
Police in Millroy, Indiana, 71km south-east of Indianapolis, said it was not uncommon for local Amish residents to have mobile phones.
Mr Yoder was arrested by undercover police officers last week when he eagerly rode up on a horse-drawn buggy to meet the girl at a local restaurant. Instead, he was greeted by officers who had been tipped off by the girl's parents.
Under later questioning, the Amish young man admitted to sending the messages and was charged with four counts of soliciting a minor.

TRAVEL between the Blue Mountains and Central West was thrown into chaos on Tuesday afternoon when blizzard conditions swept across the region.
Both road and rail links were shut down at times due to snow, ice and fallen trees.
The strong cold front had been predicted for more than 24 hours before taking hold of the region in an icy grip around mid afternoon.
It was the heaviest snow over the Lithgow city area in recent years and there was even the rare spectacle of heavy snow in and around Bathurst.
The snow was so heavy that within a very short time the police and RTA were forced to close the Great Western Highway between Lithgow and Bathurst.
At the same time the Mitchell Highway between Bathurst and Orange was closed and soon afterwards the freeze extended road closures to the Castlereagh Highway between Lithgow and Mudgee.
Very quickly hundreds of motorists found themselves stranded, resulting in panicked calls for assistance from some travellers unaccustomed to these conditions.
Authorities set up road blocks at the Barton Avenue intersection to halt west bound traffic while west of Mt Lambie there was a queue of vehicles — cars, trucks and buses — extending back several kilometres.
Police later blocked east bound traffic at Raglan.
It was the speed of the snow dump which took most by surprise.

The situation was aggravated when the weather conditions caused a power failure at Hazelbrook, shutting down traffic signals.
The Great Western Highway between Lithgow and Bathurst was re-opened to traffic in both directions shortly after five o’clock but traffic was moving at a greatly reduced speed.

How come ORANGE schools sent children home well ahead of the snowstorm? As early as 12.30 - 1.00pm? Paul Stirling must have emailed Principals alerting them to the risks of keeping children who required transportation to their home destinations because children were home well ahead of the time snow began falling! And don't forget Orange and environs got dumped on before Bathurst then Lithgow so why didn't Harvey alert all schools to send kids home given the 24hour warnings and the updates available? EVERYONE knew of this weather approaching and the possibility of road closures and worse so why is BATHURST so backward that it did nothing for the kids? What about duty of care?
