Staff question Ros Luther's promotion

Staff at Carenne Special School have once again called staffing practices at the school into question with the promotion of Ros Luther to Assistant Principal last year. Staff claim that Neil Moon was nepotistic with the promotion and that Ros Luther should never have been promoted.

A series of Carenne whistleblowers have complained that Ros Luther is not properly qualified, not having special education qualifications. Nedkelly told Carenne Gate "Michael Auld is an incompetent fool but at least he has special ed qualifications, this bitch has nothing."

Other staff claimed that there were far better suited people in the school than Luther to take the position. Sunbeam said -
"Kylie McDonald, Janelle Kemp and Anne Baskerville all would of made better Assistant Principals than Ros Luther, she is a liar who can only control kids by locking them away."
Former Carenne Assistant Principal carennetruth told Carenne Gate that she was disappointed to hear that Luther had received a promotion - "This is a woman who has caused nothing but trouble, that locked students in the pig pen, had big Di sit on them and who implemented the program that led to Brian Carter's sacking,"

"Ros should have been reprimanded along with Terry Mahony about the travel of Jamie Hussey to Lithgow one day per week, she was the one who implemented it but instead they scapegoated Brian Carter," said carennetruth.

Given the serious allegations made against Ros Luther, staff at the Bathurst Schools Office were amazed that the MERIT Selection Panel chose Ros Luther. It was only in 2010 that she was under investigation by the Employee Performance and Conduct Directorate for using straps to hit children and lock them in the pig pen. It had also been reported to EPAC about her having students sat on by staff and the implementation of the "tranquility room", better used as a torture room.

Ros Luther has no place in the NSW education system and with her appalling record of service should face dismissal.

Carenne double-crosser exposed

Carenne Gate has received evidence showing the games being played by a member of the Carenne Special School executive who has been supplying information to both disgruntled ex-employees and members of the Carenne KLAN. The information was obtained by an employee at the school after Assistant Principal Ros Luther left her laptop and internet stick laying around while logged into Hotmail.

Mrs Luther's roslyn.luther@hotmail.com account showed a number of emails sent between herself and two Carenne Saviours which are no longer employed at the school. She had also sent emails to members of the Carenne KLAN including Nadine Dwyer, Angie Cranston, Michael Auld, Mary Housler, Geoff Salmon and Christine Porter.

The emails, dating back to 2010 provide an insight into the activities of Carenne's newest Assistant Principal who has been accused of physically abusing students, locking them in a torture room, locking them in a pig pen and lying to departmental investigators. For at least the last two years, Ros Luther has been playing all sides off against each other in an attempt to further her own career. These games have paid off well, given that Mrs Luther went from a casual classroom teacher in 2009 to a permanent Assistant Principal in 2011.

The emails show Mrs Luther's complete lack of respect and contempt for Carenne Principal Neil Moon. In many of her emails, Mrs Luther promises rewards for favours she asks others to do "when she takes over as principal from Neil Moon".

In her emails to the two Carenne Saviours, Luther asks them to report certain issues at the school, claiming that she is unable due to "her position as Assistant Principal and her future career prospects."

In her emails, Mrs Luther has leaked confidential information to people outside the school including:
  • Personal information about students and parents
  • Issues amongst staff at the school
  • Details of incidents at the school
  • Complaints made about staff and those working under the Assisted School Travel Program
A common theme in Luther's emails is to encourage people to make complaints about staff at the school - particularly Janelle Kemp, Karina Mollenkamp, Margaret Rowe and Neil Moon.

In other emails, Luther has openly slagged students, calling some of them cunts, arseholes, fuckwits, sluts, whores and drama queens. Luther has also made threats against a number of people, with the most serious being "I will have that Brian Carter taken out if I lose my job over Jamie Hussey, I don't care, I know people who will kill him" in an email to Christine Porter.

It is now up to the department's Employee Performance and Conduct directorate to take action against Luther for serious breaches of the departmental Code of Conduct after I emailed the evidence to them. Carenne Gate will keep a close watch on what they do next. Carenne Gate calls for the immediate suspension of Ros Luther until such investigations are completed.

Janelle Kemp's latest fraud

The Western Advocate reported on Saturday that the King Cain Bathurst Wallabies Tri Club which been raising funds on behalf of the John Maclean Foundation for Janelle Kemp's son William had presented the family with a cheque for $5,000. In November 2010, the Carenne Saviours reported to this blog that they believed the Kemp family had defrauded with John Maclean Foundation by failing to tell them their income and benefits they had already received from the community.

In the latest article Kemp says that they intend to purchase a hi-low bed with special mattress to protect William from pressure sores and to support his spine. Investigations by Carenne Gate revealed that the bed Mrs Kemp claims to be purchasing would be supplied under EnableNSW's Aids and Equipment Program.

"These hi-low beds, which are electrically adjustable are provided to eligible patients free under the A&E Program. The bed itself is around $2,500. The mattresses aren't complicated because they need to be able to be flexible, we would provide the standard mattress but some patients opt to buy their own. There wouldn't be $5,000 in the mattress," said a spokesperson from EnableNSW.

A dismayed Carenne parent contacted Carenne Gate when she heard of the news and reported that she was refused any assistance by the Carenne P&C Association when Kemp was president. "I was pretty much told to rack off, that the P&C doesn't provide assistance to individual students," said the parent. This was despite the P&C running a fundraising appeal for Zoe Gavin when she was diagnosed with leukemia.

"It appears that unless you are one of them you get no help from them," said the parent.

In the past, the Kemps have received assistance from Country Energy, the Genie Society, Scoliosis Australia, TADNSW and Carenne Support.

It's time that the Kemps come clean on what they intend to do with the money and what they have done with the money that was donated to them in the past.

Parents, staff unimpressed with presentation day

Parents and staff at the maligned Carenne Special School have complained about the annual presentation day held at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre today. Complaints flooded into Carenne Gate about how the ceremony was ran, speeches, musical items and stickers given out at the door.

Attendees claimed that the day, organised by Neil Moon and Janelle Kemp was poorly planned and not to the standard of previous years. Instead of being a showcase of student's achievements, the presentation day ceremony was a chance for the school and its staff to spin and attempt to talk up a very troubled school. Attendees claimed the order of the ceremony, the reduction in the number of musical items and lack of time management showed the complete incompetence of Mr Moon and Ms Kemp with organising such a function.

Attendees were given a sticker saying "Friends of Carenne" made by the education department's disability programs officer Linda Cormack, which they were encouraged to put on their cars to show support for the school. Ms Cormack claimed that she thought of the stickers during a dream and went on to speak of her fondness for the school.

A number of parents were disgusted with the stickers, with one parent saying they were 'demeaning' - "What sort of idiot would make a sticker that looks like it was created by a pre-school child. It's pathetic and demeaning, most students at the school would be capable of making something far better but of course arrogant b****es like Linda Cormack wouldn't be able to see that, they think disabled kids are incapable."

Another parent told Carenne Gate that he thought the bumper stickers showed the desperation of the education department. "Obviously when you have to hand out a sticker to get from free advertisement you are in trouble," said the parent.

Attendees also attacked Neil Moon's 'principal's report', which ran for almost half an hour. Staff and parents complained about how his speech was long, boring, drawn out and full of spin. He spoke of what he considered to be the school's achievements this year, which staff criticised as an attempt to make himself look as though he was in control. Nedkelly told Carenne Gate that Mr Moon spoke about achievements that wouldn't normally be considered achievements because he had nothing else to speak about.

Moon's speech also mentioned how the school had valuable partnerships with corrupt organisations Carenne Support and the Riding for the Disabled Association and of partnerships he claims to have built with the community.

The musical piece by Carenne's guitar teacher, Steve Minshull was another segment which drew criticism from attendees, with many claiming it was 'atrocious' and 'appalling'. The students, despite being taught by Mr Minshull all year were unable to play the guitar with Mr Minshull stealing the limelight with his performance. One staff member complained that the choice of song - Under the Boardwalk was inappropriate for a function for a school where students from pre-school to Year 12 attended.

Another staff member claimed that the song was a poor choice as it was far too complicated for the students in the group to be able to play -
"For someone with years of experience as a music teacher you would think that he would be able to pick an appropriate song for the students to play. Instead, he chose something that was too complicated for them to be able to play and used it as an opportunity to make himself look good while making the students look bad. One parent commented to me about how the students looked out of their depth and how some in the audience made fun of them. You should celebrate what these students can do, not make them look bad."
Once again, staff at Carenne Special School forgot about the true purpose of the day and used it to further their own agenda.

Neil Moon breached self-evaluation committee guidelines, attempted to mislead in annual school report

Regular readers of this blog would be well aware of the general level of incompetence displayed by Carenne Special School's principal Neil Moon. Moon is known as someone incapable of dealing with the serious issues at Carenne and who will lie and mislead parents and the public at every available opportunity to make himself look better.

Each year, every school in NSW has to publish an Annual School Report about the school. These reports include information on student numbers, staff numbers, student performance, school self-evaluation and areas identified for improvement. These reports are part of the department's requirements for transparency and accountability to parents, the school community, the department and the federal government.

As part of the reporting process, the principal appoints a self-evaluation committee consisting of community and parent representatives, teachers and executive staff members.

In 2010, Neil Moon breached departmental guidelines by not having a community or parent representative on the committee. In the report he lists Simone Russell, a school learning support officer at the school as the parent representative. He also lists Janelle Kemp as a teacher, despite her acting as an assistant principal at the time of the report. Given the history of both Mrs Russell and Mrs Kemp, parents and the public at large should be concerned about their appointment to the committee and Mr Moon's misleading statements about who they represented on the committee.

Once again procedures developed by the department for transparency and accountability are being sidestepped by Neil Moon who continues to cover-up the mass of issues at Carenne.

Is this Bathurst's biggest scammer?

Yesterday, the Western Advocate wrote that over $4,000 had been raised by the King Cain Bathurst Wallabies Triathlon Club for the benefit of Janelle Kemp's son Will and another boy in the Bathurst community.

We reported in November
that Mrs Kemp's son was to be the beneficiary of a fundraising effort for the club on behalf of the John Maclean Foundation.

The Kemp family have received assistance from the local community a number of times, including being given a $6,500 walker over other students at Carenne and from Colin Kemp's employer Country Energy. According to one Carenne parent "The Kemp's are given preferred treatment over less fortunate families. I could only dream to receive the income those two are on and I get no help from anyone. It's ridiculous. She is nothing more than a bludger, a liar and a scammer."

"If Janelle Kemp had any decency she would give the money to someone more deserving," said the parent.

In what can be best described as sickening, Mrs Kemp has used her disabled son to get ahead at every available opportunity. She began working at Carenne without special education qualifications because she had "life experience" due to her son being disabled. Once at Carenne, she had her niece Laurie Clifford given a job there also.

Janelle Kemp, who abuses posters on this blog under the alias "Blog of Lies" has come under fire a number of times on this blog. It was revealed that she received Special Needs Transport assistance over another parent, that she accused parents of leaking information to this blog despite providing information to it herself, that she was part of the reason that Geoff Salmon attempted to carjack Brian Carter and that she left her son in her van unattended.

Janelle Kemp has also been implicated in neglecting a junior student who was sexually assaulted by a senior student and when that student's family sought for her to return to Carenne pulled all the stops out to stop it from happening.

With this sort of background and history does it make Mrs Kemp Bathurst's biggest scammer?

Qualifications mean nothing to Carenne

For a long time now it has been known that Carenne employs nepotistic practices when employing staff. Some time ago, Janelle Kemp's niece Laurie Clifford (then Healey) was given a permanent position at the school over staff who had far more experience and who were properly qualified.

According to the Western Advocate, Mrs Clifford received a Graduate Diploma of Inclusive Education from Charles Sturt University, completing her special education training. According to the paper she has been employed at Carenne since 2007.

Even more disturbing is the fact that Clifford was appointed relieving assistant principal while Terry Neal took a trip to the top end to avoid attending court. How could someone who isn't even special education trained be given an assistant principal's position and expected to be part of the Carenne executive?

How many other staff at Carenne are not properly qualified for their job? Given the mass of issues at the school you would think that it would be important to have staff that are trained to do the job they are performing.

P&C meeting a flop

The P&C meeting held at Carenne on Monday was a complete flop according to one observer. The school's incompetent principal, Neil Moon warned a few weeks ago that the P&C was at risk of folding due to a lack of people at meetings and the resignation of the president, secretary and treasurer.

Two of the people who resigned were Janelle Kemp and Simone Russell.

According to an observer at the P&C meeting, only a handful of people were in attendance, well short of the 20 claimed by Neil Moon.

The meeting shows the complete lack of support that Carenne has within its local community following the mass of issues relating to child protection, finance and staff bullying.

Carenne P&C at risk of collapse

Parents have been warned by Neil Moon that fundraising at Carenne Special School could be at risk with the Carenne P&C at risk of being wound up. According to a plea sent to parents by Neil Moon, the P&C requires a president, treasurer and secretary for the next year.

Mr Moon has called on parents, carers and grandparents to pay the $2 membership fee and attend the next meeting or the P&C might be forced to wind up, with any funds it presently has being forfeited.

Carenne Gate has learned that Janelle Kemp (president), Simone Russell (secretary) and the treasurer have stood down from the committee. Carenne Gate has called for the resignation of Janelle Kemp following her claims that it was parents supplying information to this blog.

Neil Moon has pleaded with parents to pay the $2 membership fee and to attend the annual general meeting or the P&C risked having to be closed.

According to former Carenne employee, carennetruth, the P&C had been operating against its rules. Carennetruth alleges that most meetings did not have the people required to meet the quorum and any decisions made are illegal.

It is not the first time that Simone Russell has been implicated in poor management, with her time as Carenne's School Administration Manager marred by incompetence. She failed to properly manage the school budget, used funds allocated for one thing for something else and wrote cheques for an account which didn't exist. According to Mother Goose, former Carenne principal warned Simone about her questionable practices. "Lyn told her that she had been illegally writing cheques and even joked that they could both end up in jail and that Lyn wanted the top bunk!" said Mother Goose.

While it is no loss that Janelle Kemp and Simone Russell are leaving the P&C it is of concern that the school could be without a P&C association. It shows the complete lack of support Carenne has amongst the community following years of maladministration, corruption and child abuse.

Unofficial Carenne Support spokeswoman received transport she wasn't entitled to

A Carenne Special School whistleblower has reported that the woman who appears to have become the unofficial blog spokeswoman for Carenne Support, Mary Housler received transport under the Special Needs Transport Service which she wasn't entitled to.

The whistleblower alleges that Mrs Housler's son was transported to and from the school by a taxi under the SNTS, despite her being able to do it herself. According to DET, the SNTS is available to students who have parents who are unable to take the child to school themselves.

"Mary was going to university next to the school yet she couldn't bring him herself, she is another Janelle Kemp, just sponging off the public purse,"
said the whistleblower.

The whistleblower claims that Jock Roxborough would have made the recommendation for Mrs Housler's son to receive transport under the SNTS by lying to the department. "He would have said that she couldn't take the child herself," the whistleblower said.

Even after Mrs Housler became an employee of Carenne Support, which runs buses under the SNTS, her son continued to receive transport from the department.

With continued fraud among operators, unapproved arrangements with parents and operators and the transport of students who are ineligible for the service because of lies by school principals the SNTS needs a radical overhaul.

Neil Moon keeps it in the family

The principal of the embattled Carenne Special School has been accused of further nepotism despite staunch criticism about it in the past. Carenne Gate has learned that Moon employed Doug Rowe, husband of teacher's aide Margaret Rowe as a General Assistant to help move furniture at the school.

Carenne Special School has a history of nepotism with Janelle Kemp being related to Laurie Clifford, Lyn Duncan employing her husband Steve Duncan, Anne Baskerville's partner Lee Graham being given work and Brian and Nathan Carter working at the school.

One of the Carenne whistleblowers told Carenne Gate that Neil Moon is too paranoid to employ other people. "Neil is more paranoid this year than ever, he will only employ people who will keep the secrets in the school," said the whistleblower.

It shows that despite the massive issues surrounding Carenne that Neil Moon continues with his stupidity.

Kemp caught neglecting own son, ability as a teacher bought into question

Janelle Kemp, a teacher who's lack of supervision over a junior student led to them being sexually assaulted has today been caught by a parent neglecting her own son. The parent has asked how someone who is unable to supervise her own child can be trusted to supervise special needs children.

At 11:00AM today, Janelle Kemp was observed at a coffee shop in Keppel St Bathurst while her disabled son was left in her van (AUB61K) parked over 100 metres away. According to the parent, Mrs Kemp was casually drinking coffee in the shop while her son was left in the vehicle unsupervised.

Janelle Kemp has come under scrutiny on this blog for receiving special transport assistance for her son when she works at the school, received a $6,200 walker for her son from corrupt school charity Carenne Support, claiming parents leaked information to this blog, being responsible for the attack of a whistleblower and being nominated for a $10,000 grant before other parents and students. Mrs Kemp has also been identified as being responsible for the sexual assault of a junior student as she failed to properly supervise them.

Mrs Kemp's actions today demonstrates that she neglects her own child, leaving little faith in her ability to properly supervise students. "How the hell can this woman supervise our children when she leaves her own son in a car unattended?" asked one Carenne parent.

Carenne Gate reminds its readers that leaving children unattended in a car is a crime and may result in a fine up to $22,000.

Student laptops hidden by corrupt teacher

Corrupt teacher at Carenne Special School and member of the group of staff referred to as the KLAN recently came under fire for not giving out laptops under the federal government's program.

Carenne Gate can reveal that six laptops were received for distribution to students, but the Carenne Saviours claim Mr Auld has them packed in a storeroom because he claims they are too difficult to use and look after. Each year 9 student should have received a laptop.

Despite this, Neil Moon has lied to parents and told them that no laptops were received as it is a special scbool.

Concerns have also been voiced about teacher's laptops. Under the program., tachers with students in years 9 to 12 to prepare learning materials. In defiance of this, Margaret Rowe and Janelle Kemp, both infants staff received two of the laptops last year the other two going to Michael Auld and Kym Tattersall.

It shows that Mr Auld is incompetent and can't follow guidelines and that Mr Moon is a liar that's word is worthless.

"Did Janelle Kemp tell the John Maclean Foundation about her milking of the system?": Carenne Saviours

The Carenne Saviours have contacted Carenne Gate asking whether the John Maclean Foundation were told about the benefits the Kemp family have received from a number of sources including Carenne Support. King Cain Bathurst Wallabies Tri Club nominated the corrupt teacher's son as one of two beneficiaries of a fundraising campaign to be conducted by the John Maclean Foundation.

The Carenne Saviours contacted Carenne Gate last week, prior to it being reported in the Western Advocate asking whether or not the John Maclean Foundation were informed about the benefits the Kemp family has received from a variety of local sources before they decided to attempt to raise $10,000 for the child.

"Do they know that Janelle's son received a $6,500 walker from Carenne Support, how about the support from Country Energy?" said one Saviour.

Another saviour said "There are far more deserving students at Carenne than Will, his family's income is over $150,000 per year, they can afford to support him themselves, there are parents at Carenne strugging on less than $15,000 per year but they get nothing."

The article in the Western Advocate neglected to mention that Mrs Kemp was a teacher at Carenne despite mentioning that Will was a student there.

Carenne's temporary executive, a family affair

With the absence of Terry Neal and Neil Moon who are both taking leave and Lee Churches due to illness only one member of the school's ordinary executive remains - Louise Smith. Due to the absences, the school has two staff who are assistant principals in a relieving capacity.

Laurie Healey has been appointed to relieve Terry Neal's executive position to the end of term and Janelle Kemp has been appointed to relieve Lee Churches' executive position until she returns.

Staff at the school are concerned about the relieving assistant principal appointment process due to Janelle Kemp being a close friend of Louise Smith's and Laurie Healey's aunt.

Barracus told Carenne Gate that Janelle Kemp and Laurie Healey were both inexperienced and were incapable of performing a management role. "Janelle has only had special ed qualifications for about two years, she got the teaching position initially because she had a disabled son and was a friend of Louise Smith's from Eglinton school,"

"Janelle was part of the corrupt merit selection last year that Lyn and Lee rigged, the job was all fixed up before the interviews, there is a secret list on who will be appointed to the next permanent position at the school and it is always followed."

Barracus was also scathing of Miss Healey and her position at the school. "Laurie is another one whos job was fixed up, it was preplanned that she would get a permanent position. She hasn't been a teacher all that long and there have been serious concerns about her conduct around teenage boys, she dresses inappropriately for work and is over-familiar with some. That is why she has a mostly female class now,"

"I couldn't believe it at the end of last term when Neil Moon said she would be relieving for Terry Neal, she has minimal teaching experience and from what I hear even had a history of issues at Bathurst West, why would you place her in an executive position?"

A number of staff have said they are concerned that of the present three executives at the school, two are related and the only non-relative is a close friend of one of the others. Staff have also complained about Janelle Kemp performing the principal's job today, believing that Louise Smith would have been the most appropriate person to fill the role, as she has executive experience.

"The school is becoming an even bigger joke every day because of the complete stupidity of allowing someone as inexperienced as Janelle Kemp lead the school," said whistleblower Gretel.

Salmon attacked whistleblower because of Kemp and hatho, charges dismissed

Geoffrey Salmon, director of Carenne Support - the organisation at the centre of corruption claims engulfing Carenne Special School had charges dismissed against him on Tuesday in the local court.

Mr Salmon was charged with obstructing traffic and entering a vehicle unlawfully following his attack on whistleblower Brian Carter during a protest against corruption and child abuse at Carenne in December last year.

According to hatho, Mr Salmon admitted to attempting to carjack Mr Carter and assaulting him, but successfully claimed that he was distressed when it happened.

"Geoff said that he left the presentation ceremony to talk to Carter because Janelle and I were scared he might come inside and cause a scene. I was terrified that he would come into B-Mec and start telling people about his views on Carenne, it would have been embarrassing for us." said hatho.

Hatho claimed -
"Geoff was open and honest at court, he said he attacked Carter and tried to stop him driving his van embarrassing the school. He was distressed and wanted Carter to go home. "
"The magistrate dismissed the charges against Geoff because he was distressed because of how Janelle and I were."

Inquiries made by Carenne Gate with the local court registry indicated that Magistrate Jan Stevenson dismissed the charges against Mr Salmon due to extenuating circumstances. The court officer invited us to visit the registry to look over the file if we wanted more details.

Further information will be posted as it becomes known.

Michael Auld wasting school resources: nedkelly

With Neil Moon telling his staff to reduce their use of the school's colour photocopier due to high costs, former klansmen turned whistleblower nedkelly claims that this misuse can be put down to a minority of staff not the majority.

Nedkelly told Carenne Gate that she is "fed up" with being leered at by school administrator Helen Windsor and questioned when she uses the colour copier/printer to make resources for her class. Nedkelly said she probably makes no more than 20 colour prints per week but she is made to feel bad for doing so, despite the resources needing to be in colour.

Nedkelly said -
"It really pisses me off being treated like some sort of criminal because I use the colour copier on occasion, a little misuse comes during school hours but most of it is after hours, this abuse is costing the school money which impacts on the school's programs."
Nedkelly went on to lay the blame with a number of Carenne staff. She claimed that she had often seen Michael Auld printing colour materials for the Riding for the Disabled Association and St Vincent de Paul using the colour copier. She also claimed that Auld asked for the security system to be modified so staff could enter the photocopying room after hours and over school holidays, something verified in part by meeting minutes obtained by Carenne Gate in Term 2.

"I have seen Auld print hundreds of pages at a time, all related to RDA. When I complained to Neil about it, I was told to mind my own business," said nedkelly.

nedkelly also says that the setup of some computers is to blame. She said that some of the new computers received by the school and set up by Michael Auld had the colour printer set as default. She claimed that most staff are so technically illiterate that they are unable to change the printer when printing and most students would make the same mistake when printing. Nedkelly told us -
"It shows the complete incompetence of Michael Auld, he has no idea what he is doing, he is a complete f--- up."

nedkelly went on to allege that Melinda Gavin, Janelle Kemp, Paula Hundy and Angela Cranston all used the colour printer to print personal colour photographs.

Carenne P and C President must stand down: Saviour

One of the Carenne Saviours is calling on Carenne P&C Association President Janelle Kemp to stand down from her position following her comments at a meeting about this blog at Carenne yesterday. Janelle Kemp has been mentioned on this blog in the past for receiving transport for her son over a parent who lives some distance from the school and for having Carenne Support pay for a $6,200 walker for her son.

When DET legal official Patrick Quinn told the meeting that he believed the leaks to this blog were coming from staff at the school, Mrs Kemp said that she believed that parents were providing information to the blog and needed to be warned against using the site. Mrs Kemp said many parents were "easily influenced" by people outside of Carenne and that she believed parents, not Carenne staff were responsible for information leaks at the school.

The Carenne Saviour claims that these comments show that Mrs Kemp can not possibly remain as president of the school's P&C no matter how dysfunctional it is after making allegations against Carenne parents.

Carenne Support puts teacher/parent before others again

One of Carenne Special School's newest whistleblowers "Karachi" has claimed that Janelle Kemp, a teacher at Carenne who received a permanent appointment under suspicious circumstances (much like her niece who also teaches at Carenne) was given special treatment by Carenne Support when it purchased a walker for her son valued at $6,200 last year.

Karachi claims that this purchase, authorised by Carenne Support CEO and director at the time Christine Porter took precedence over students who had been waiting for equipment for much longer with one student's equipment needs being valued at $800 still not being purchased due to the student's parents not being popular with Ms Porter.

Janelle Kemp first came to Carenne Gate's attention when it was revealed that she had been given special transport assistance through Carenne Support while a parent who lived out of town had been refused.

The Special Needs Transport Service puts staff before other parents

It has been revealed that a parent whose two daughters attend the Carenne Special School has been refused Special Needs Transport assistance by the Department of Education and Training, despite having to make a 40 Km round trip twice per day.

The Department of Education and Training will not provide assistance to the students as they claim their parents can bring them to and from school.

Despite this claim, a teacher at the Carenne Special School, Janelle Kemp receives transport assistance for her son to be transported to and from school by Carenne Support Ltd, an organisation central to the Carenne Gate affair. Staff claim that Mrs Kemp has a suitable vehicle to transport her son to school and claim that the rule stating parents mustn't be able to bring their children to and from school to be eligible for transport assistance must have been relaxed or overlooked in her case.
