Janelle Kemp's latest fraud

The Western Advocate reported on Saturday that the King Cain Bathurst Wallabies Tri Club which been raising funds on behalf of the John Maclean Foundation for Janelle Kemp's son William had presented the family with a cheque for $5,000. In November 2010, the Carenne Saviours reported to this blog that they believed the Kemp family had defrauded with John Maclean Foundation by failing to tell them their income and benefits they had already received from the community.

In the latest article Kemp says that they intend to purchase a hi-low bed with special mattress to protect William from pressure sores and to support his spine. Investigations by Carenne Gate revealed that the bed Mrs Kemp claims to be purchasing would be supplied under EnableNSW's Aids and Equipment Program.

"These hi-low beds, which are electrically adjustable are provided to eligible patients free under the A&E Program. The bed itself is around $2,500. The mattresses aren't complicated because they need to be able to be flexible, we would provide the standard mattress but some patients opt to buy their own. There wouldn't be $5,000 in the mattress," said a spokesperson from EnableNSW.

A dismayed Carenne parent contacted Carenne Gate when she heard of the news and reported that she was refused any assistance by the Carenne P&C Association when Kemp was president. "I was pretty much told to rack off, that the P&C doesn't provide assistance to individual students," said the parent. This was despite the P&C running a fundraising appeal for Zoe Gavin when she was diagnosed with leukemia.

"It appears that unless you are one of them you get no help from them," said the parent.

In the past, the Kemps have received assistance from Country Energy, the Genie Society, Scoliosis Australia, TADNSW and Carenne Support.

It's time that the Kemps come clean on what they intend to do with the money and what they have done with the money that was donated to them in the past.

Carenne/RDA beg for money at McHappy Day

On the 20th anniversary of McDonalds' McHappy Day to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities, Carenne Special School and the Bathurst branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association were at the day asking people to donate to them.

One Carenne staff member was shocked when she walked over to the gazebo where Carenne and RDA had set up and overheard Adam Ryan asking people to make a donation to the Riding for the Disabled Association or Carenne. "I couldn't believe it, they took the therapy farm animals down there and set up just to beg for money," said the staff member.

It was only on Friday that Carenne was presented with a cheque for $14,000 from the V8 ball held in October for the races at Mt Panorama.

Is this Bathurst's biggest scammer?

Yesterday, the Western Advocate wrote that over $4,000 had been raised by the King Cain Bathurst Wallabies Triathlon Club for the benefit of Janelle Kemp's son Will and another boy in the Bathurst community.

We reported in November that Mrs Kemp's son was to be the beneficiary of a fundraising effort for the club on behalf of the John Maclean Foundation.

The Kemp family have received assistance from the local community a number of times, including being given a $6,500 walker over other students at Carenne and from Colin Kemp's employer Country Energy. According to one Carenne parent "The Kemp's are given preferred treatment over less fortunate families. I could only dream to receive the income those two are on and I get no help from anyone. It's ridiculous. She is nothing more than a bludger, a liar and a scammer."

"If Janelle Kemp had any decency she would give the money to someone more deserving," said the parent.

In what can be best described as sickening, Mrs Kemp has used her disabled son to get ahead at every available opportunity. She began working at Carenne without special education qualifications because she had "life experience" due to her son being disabled. Once at Carenne, she had her niece Laurie Clifford given a job there also.

Janelle Kemp, who abuses posters on this blog under the alias "Blog of Lies" has come under fire a number of times on this blog. It was revealed that she received Special Needs Transport assistance over another parent, that she accused parents of leaking information to this blog despite providing information to it herself, that she was part of the reason that Geoff Salmon attempted to carjack Brian Carter and that she left her son in her van unattended.

Janelle Kemp has also been implicated in neglecting a junior student who was sexually assaulted by a senior student and when that student's family sought for her to return to Carenne pulled all the stops out to stop it from happening.

With this sort of background and history does it make Mrs Kemp Bathurst's biggest scammer?

Carenne Special School fundraiser to benefit corrupt charity - Carenne Support

The corrupt organisation at the centre of the Carenne Gate saga, Carenne Support Limited will benefit from Saturday night's Carenne Special School fundraiser at the Waratah in Bathurst according to whistleblowers and today's report in the Western Advocate. It is not the first time that Carenne Support has engaged in dishonest fundraising practices, with two Ford Transit minibuses being purchased for it after fundraising in the school's name.

The Western Advocate article claims that the school will be using the funds from the event to purchase much needed therapy equipment and a sensory wall for the junior courtyard. According to Carenne Support after last August's dinner dance where a sex toy made a surprise appearance, Carenne Support had raised enough money to build a sensory wall at the school.

According to Carenne whistleblower Gretel, Carenne Support was the beneficiary from the Waratah fundraiser. She told Carenne Gate - "The fundraiser was to purchase new therapy equipment for some students and for the sensory wall that will all be owned by Carenne Support, it was a Carenne Support fundraiser using the school's name."

Nedkelly told Carenne Gate that it was Neil Moon and Paul Knight's idea to use the school's name to fundraise for the corrupt charity. "Neil and Paul said that the school's name would raise more funds than Carenne Support's, he said that the funds could then be used on therapy programs and products for a few students."

The event demonstrates that the public is still being misled by Carenne Support and Carenne Special School when it comes to fundraising events.

Carenne fundraiser shows community support has dropped: nedkelly

Carenne Special School klansmen turned whistleblower, nedkelly has contacted Carenne Gate with a report on the school fundraiser held at the Waratah last night.

According to nedkelly, the turnout was the lowest she has ever seen at a school fundraiser, claiming there were less people in attendance than were at the Carenne Support fundraiser (where staff took a sex toy) last year.

nedkelly told Carenne Gate-

"You can really see that the support Carenne once had is gone, there were hardly any people there last night, far less than the RSL club, less than the Zoe Gavin benefit and far far less than at the bus dinner dance. Carenne is on the f------ nose."

nedkelly said she believed that corrupt principal, Neil Moon would lie to the community and make it sound as though the target was exceeded and that the venue was full. "That isn't the case, there would have been 30 or 40 people there at the most. That is probably being generous, the whole night was a joke," said nedkelly.

nedkelly said that the night was fairly uneventful, although she is concerned about the excess alcohol consumption of some of her colleagues. nedkelly alleges that two-thirds of the staff that attended were extremely drunk and made allegations that one of them drove home in that state, despite nedkelly trying to convince them otherwise and calling the police on them.

nedkelly was also concerned about most of the items at the fundraiser being alcohol. "You can tell that two-thirds of Carenne staff are alcoholics, most of the auction items or prizes were alcoholic."

"It's time that another review takes place at Carenne, this time looking at the social problems among the staff and the fact that most of them have a f------ alcohol problem."

"Did Janelle Kemp tell the John Maclean Foundation about her milking of the system?": Carenne Saviours

The Carenne Saviours have contacted Carenne Gate asking whether the John Maclean Foundation were told about the benefits the Kemp family have received from a number of sources including Carenne Support. King Cain Bathurst Wallabies Tri Club nominated the corrupt teacher's son as one of two beneficiaries of a fundraising campaign to be conducted by the John Maclean Foundation.

The Carenne Saviours contacted Carenne Gate last week, prior to it being reported in the Western Advocate asking whether or not the John Maclean Foundation were informed about the benefits the Kemp family has received from a variety of local sources before they decided to attempt to raise $10,000 for the child.

"Do they know that Janelle's son received a $6,500 walker from Carenne Support, how about the support from Country Energy?" said one Saviour.

Another saviour said "There are far more deserving students at Carenne than Will, his family's income is over $150,000 per year, they can afford to support him themselves, there are parents at Carenne strugging on less than $15,000 per year but they get nothing."

The article in the Western Advocate neglected to mention that Mrs Kemp was a teacher at Carenne despite mentioning that Will was a student there.

Evidence surfaces that Carenne Support defrauded the Lions Club

A flyer promoting the Bathurst Farmer's Markets provides evidence that Carenne Support Limited, the organisation at the centre of the Carenne Gate affair defrauded the Lions Club of Bathurst when they received two buses which were supposed to have been purchased for Carenne Special School.

The bottom of the flyer mentions the projects that the Lions Club of Bathurst has donated to and at the very top of the list is the "Bathurst Carenne Public School Bus Appeal".

It is not the first time that evidence has been found in the Bathurst community that benefactors believed the money they had donated went to Carenne Special School and not Carenne Support. In October last year a certificate of appreciation from Carenne Special School to McDonalds was posted on Sydney Indymedia.

After the photograph was posted, it was alleged that Simone Russell's husband Scott, a member of the NSW Police Force went in uniform to McDonalds and demanded the CCTV footage so he could identify who took the photograph.

It is clear that the community of Bathurst has been defrauded by Carenne Support, which now uses buses which were purchased for the school to receive over $180,000 per year under contract to the Department of Education and Training.

Carenne Support may have breached fundraising legislation

Following inquiries surrounding Carenne Support's fundraising licence, it has been discovered that the Carenne Special School bus appeal in 2004 and 2005 may have been conducted unlawfully and without a licence.

During my investigations I have discovered that Carenne Support first received a licence to conduct fundraising in NSW on April 3rd 2007, despite the bus appeal being carried out two years earlier. At the time of the bus appeal, the Bathurst community was led to believe that the buses (valued at some $130,000) were for Carenne Special School.

No mention was made at the Carenne Charity Ball in late 2004, which cricket legend Doug Walters attended, nor was it made at the handover of the buses in July 2005.

It has now been revealed that these buses, purchased for Carenne Special School are in fact owned by Carenne Support and one is used for a highly-profitable bus run. Even though donors were misled about the appeal being for the school and not the attached charity, Carenne Support did not hold a licence to conduct or benefit from the appeal at the time it was ran.

In addition to this, Communities NSW advised me today that Carenne Support's fundraising licence lapsed between April 2009 and Janaury 14 2010 as they had not re-applied. Any fundraising appeals conducted during this period are also illegal. You would think that a fundraising licence would be something of importance to a charity and it demonstrates the negligence of those involved in this organisation.
