Given the serious allegations made against Ros Luther, staff at the Bathurst Schools Office were amazed that the MERIT Selection Panel chose Ros Luther. It was only in 2010 that she was under investigation by the Employee Performance and Conduct Directorate for using straps to hit children and lock them in the pig pen. It had also been reported to EPAC about her having students sat on by staff and the implementation of the "tranquility room", better used as a torture room.
Ros Luther has no place in the NSW education system and with her appalling record of service should face dismissal.

There has never been a pig pen at Carenne School ever.
There was a large fenced area which was used during luntchtime and recess for students who had absconded from the school grounds and when it was assessed that there absconding
could put them in serious danger.
There was a variety of activities and students could be in the fenced area and the fenced area was used for the least amount of time and planning was put in place to bring the student back into the playground as soon as possible.
Ros Luther has had nothing to do with decisions about putting students in the fenced area.
She did not cover up any crime involving Melinda Harris. Melinda Harris claims were investigated and found to be false and Jeremy Russell was found innocent of any wrong doing.
There was no findings in the police, JIRT or department investigations which were negative towards Ros Luther and she was found by the investigation to have done nothing wrong.
Laurie Clifford was not given a permamant teachers job for covering something up Laurie was selected on merit.

Get your facts straight you do not need to hold formal special education qualifications to hold a special education position you only need to hold primary or secondary teaching qualifications to work in a school for specific purposes.
Secondly Carenne is not a school primarily for autistic students it is a school that is primarily for Students with Moderate or Severe Intellectual Disability or Students with a Range of Disabilities with Similar Support Needs by the Department.
You can be formally recognized as a special education teacher by the Department if you have 2 years teaching experience of teaching students with a disability.
