Today I again made the trip to Bathurst to attend the Local Court while someone associated with Carenne Special School was facing charges. Today it was Geoff Salmon, director and secretary of Carenne Support Limited, the company at the centre of the Carenne Gate Affair who was facing the court.
Salmon is facing a charge of obstructing traffic and unlawfully entering a vehicle after an alleged attempted carjacking of whistleblower Brian Carter in December.
The matter was mentioned briefly where the court was told that representations to have the police drop the charges had failed and that Mr Salmon would be pleading not guilty. Police were ordered to serve a brief within four weeks and the matter was adjourned until 28 June 2010.

Identified by many parents and teachers as the Carenne Gate Affair being blogged by Julie Brown. Currently three of the schools senior executives are before the Bathurst Court as of Monday the 19 of April. There are also published allegations of child abuse and fraud being debated on line while there are general concerns bullying of staff and child abuse are matters the Serious Misconduct Unit should have addressed rather than ignore. Several parents who wanted to raise their concerns directly with the education Minister were led away from the Minister’s location to avoid the expected angry shouting match which will have occurred because of the outrage many Bathurst parents of special needs children have over what is being ignored for years now by government and it seems the Liberal National opposition. Thanks for the opportunity to put this before you and your readers but it would be better if something was done by the Minister and her shadow?

There is a simple solution to this if you are concerned about the webcam being used for inappropriate purposes. Just put some PVC tape over the camera and then it can't be used for anything.
I can tell you that DET doesn't use the cameras as part of the remote monitoring so someone is just mischief making but if it concerns you just use the tape.

There is soft ware which can keep track of key strokes and if you have been warned then dont be too surprised. The legal department will already have the ID of all DET computers noted and for those really into all this. Spend enough time typing into a key board and the information which can include the typing speed on top of an accepted science which notes the way words are used. Can be compared to known sources of computer work product, in the same way fingerprints are compared. Just keep on thinking no one can prove anything at all and you will be safe. Becaue ignorance is supposed to be bliss right. Most of the long term posters have all had their computer id and servers identifed over a year ago.
