Carenne Special School whistleblower Karachi claims that she was told by Simone Russell, former administration manager of Carenne turned teacher's aide that her husband Scott, then sergeant of police at Portland had misused the COPS system for their own benefit.
Karachi says that when the Russells were looking at buying a house, Simone told her that she was lucky that Scott was a police officer because he could do address inquiries through the police computer system to see if the house had a known history or was in a bad area.
Karachi recalls Simone telling her about a house in West Bathurst, which she said had been used as a drug house.
Based on Karachi's claims, it would seem like Scott Russell breaches police policy in his use of the COPS system.

The idea that a serving police officer would be putting police computers and records to his families personal and political use is frowned upon. With the information provided to government investigative bodies like ICAC the Omdudsman and PIC over the last several months. This question must be asked why is dumplings husband still working, when his missuse of COPS is considered common knowledge in the wider community and has been discussed with at least one Senior Officer in the Bathurst area?

The misuse of Police information is not limited to Carenne, police information has also been misused by staff of the Bathurst SEA particularly by Janice Anderson during her tenure. I remember the department being tipped off by a parent that a teacher had been found guilty in a court for DUI. This was never put in the local paper but because they were tipped off they asked Wendy Keith, then SAM of Carenne to have her police officer partner confirm the allegation.
Once the allegation was confirmed that teacher was investigated by the SMU and then had their employment terminated.
SEA snitch. Tell us what the acronym SEA stands for! Carenne and anywhere else the abuse by police of the COPS computer resource for private benifit will result in the loss of job. It is not rocket science Russle husband of dumpling your job is gone you just dont know it yet. Guess what many of us dont give a stuff selfish grub!

SEA stands for School Education Office, it is the George St office of NSW DET which looks after the Bathurst region.

The misuse of the relationship between DET and the Police has also been used in relation to a teacher at Bathurst West who was escorted off school premises by Police.
How about you get the story about BWPS correct? That particular teacher was directed to work at district office because she was under investigation as per DET policy. She was told to report to district office and would not. She was given an Inclosed Lands order by the principal and when she refused to comply the Police were called.
Some people from Sydney held a protest outside that place, we discussed Stuart Russels abuse of the COPS records with senior police on record as having attended we have photographs. It seems so long ago now funny how government employees top to bottom like to keep the wages comming in . But guess what we are not willing to forget about what was discussed with senior police. Take the hint dumpling and family.
Simone runs about the school spruiking information she claims to have received from her police officer husband whether true or not and it is taken as gospel. She is corrupt like her hubby and must be stamped out.

It wont be long and the hidden rorts and those involved will be discussed in Bathurst court. I expect there to be other matters pressed by private citizens because government has an interest in things remaining buried for ever.

The day of the protest staff at the office panicked. We had been told by Lee and Simone that Brian Carter was a violent man and when he showed up at SEA with backup they were worried. We were instructed by Patrick Quinn and Grant Marley to take photographs to use against Mr Carter in his court case.
I don't know how you people can say this about Simone it simply isn't true you are lying.

The people who were protesting took pohotos and named names to the Federal and Local police. It was the same day the Prime Minister was at Bathurst. Russel would know that and he would know what he has been doing is recorded. Dumpling will know all about all this wont she hatho.

When i was looking at buying a place Simone told me Scott could do an address check for $100 for me. I reported her to Lyn Duncan. I heard he did a check for Lyn too
Dont forget Scott Russell was dragged before the coroner in 2008 over his role in the death of a man
There are going to be a lot of people drag into court then to give evidence that police checks have been done illegally on them or for them.
The number of police checks done under the radar is insurmountable. It is something that has long been supported by staff of SEA to harass and suppress anyone considered a risk.

I completely agree with you. I am not supporting the practice, I am just saying it is done. Part of the reason is because staff are to advise the department if they are convicted of a criminal offence with a penalty exceeding 12 months imprisonment. The interesting part here is that the department has the power to make inquiries through legal avenues and not through the back door.
I should also mention that it is general policy for staff who have been convicted of one of these offences to be terminated but it doesn't always happen. I can remember a teacher at KHC not so long ago receiving a suspended sentence for defrauding Centrelink and he still has a job.
Consider Director General of Education Michael Coutts-Trotter retired drug dealer right. With the right contacts in politics nothing is a problem.
